A momentary loss of her powers

The renowned Queen of the Amazons drew her powers from the Gods, which themselves drew their powers from worship and belief. In other words, the reason Wonder Woman was so powerful, was because people believed her to be. People expected her to be strong. At first, as tough as she was, she hadn't even been bulletproof - but now, as people saw her flying beside the likes of Superman and punching the same caliber of villain just as heavily as he did, they simply assumed that she was bulletproof. Assumed it en masse. And so, soon enough, she was.

People expected her to be almighty. She was a superheroine. A Justice League founder. The Amazon Queen, and a role model for girls everywhere. And so she was almighty. She never lost, because nobody thought she really could lose. But the amazing Wonder Woman didn't always know what the rest of the Justice League was up to. Sometimes, while they dealt with one problem, she was off doing her own thing completely unaware of what was going on elsewhere.

This would be what sunk her.

On one night, one unfortunate night, a would-be world-destroying villain made a device. A device designed to make everyone forget that the justice league had ever existed.

He had at first planned to target only the heroes, to effectively end the League once and for all by making its members forget who they were - but, not knowing their secret identities, he figured it would be better to delay his plans and expand the range of the device to cover the entire planet. Besides, there would be zero chance of salvation if the whole world didn't know that anything was missing. Nobody would be left to stop him.

Of course, the device was not perfect. It couldn’t truly effect everyone in the world. A handful of common thugs with fortunately-placed metal plates in their heads escaped its influence. Some potent magic-users were beyond its control. Others with advanced technology, or dumb luck, or who were deep underground, or who had some other slight workaround were not effected either. While most of the world forgot all about the Justice League, a handful of heroes, villains, civilians, and ordinary criminals still remembered it all.

Wonder Woman herself was not affected by this device, either. Because she was a superheroine, a Justice League founder, and the people of the world thought her to be above a simple mind-control device. At least, they thought this during the moment that the device’s pulse swept the world - but shortly after, they didn't think anything of her at all. She was a normal woman. Nothing special about her except the size of her tits and her arrogant self-importance.

It only lasted an hour. Maybe two. Then, Batman and the other Leaguers with tech that prevented them from being affected by the device’s influence defeated the villain responsible, and reversed his memory-altering. The world was set right again.

But two hours can be a long time, and a handful of people with faith in Wonder Woman is far from enough to make her as powerful as she often needs to be.

She was a god that nobody believed in. Her usual extraordinary strength all left her at once, suddenly and without warning. She was common. Not at all special. And like this, she was primed for her first ever defeat and humiliation - one that may even spell the end of her career. After all, nothing shakes people’s faith in their god like seeing her sucking on cock.
