Chapter 8 - The Passage Of Lost

Around thirty minutes earlier.

“Claire, you have to get up! He’s going to get us!”

Sherry desperately shook Claire’s shoulders. This kind lady in red shielded her with her own body during the fall, so that she merely took any damage. But Claire was still ****.

An angry growl came from behind. Apparently her mutated father has dropped down into the sewer and has quickly regenerated from the fall, too. In a few seconds the monster would get up and chase after her again.

“Wake up! Wake up!” Still no responds. She didn’t even know if Claire could make it or not. But if she stayed here, it wouldn’t be good for her either. She had **** but left Claire and fled for her life.

The sewer system was infested with those hungry vampires, too, and there weren’t many routes for her to escape from G2. Soon she found herself in a dead end and was cornered by her father.

G2 lifted the little girl up, raised its right arm and produced another G-embryo. It let out victorious howls as it finally found a host with the closest match on DNA. The dawn of a new dominant species was nigh.

Sherry struggled hopelessly, punched the giant arm with her small fists and cried. The G-embryo was getting closer and closer, and she was exhausted already.

Mom, Claire...She closed her eyes and hoped that someone could save her from this nightmare.

Bang!

A loud noise came from behind G2 and it was followed by a painful scream of it. Sherry opened her eyes in surprise and found out that the giant eyeball of G2, along with half of its shoulder, has been destroyed. The G-embryo dropped on the floor and quickly became lifeless.

A man wearing a black combat suit with tactical glasses was standing behind G2, aiming at it with a Lightning Hawk magnum pistol. There was an U.B.C.S. sign on the suit, and Sherry thought she had met something with similar signs before.

G2 turned around to face him, but only to be shot again on the chest, got William’s original head destroyed. After suffering severe damage, G2 crashed the shutter beside it and ran away.

“How many different kinds of monsters are down here...” The man sheathed his pistol and walked up to her, “Hey, little girl, are you alright?”

“Yeah...” Sherry nodded, quivering.

The man carefully checked her neck and arms for bite marks, and when he found none, he finally smiled, “I’m Dustin. What’s your name?”

“Sherry...” She replied, still recovering from the trauma. But when she calmed down she immediately grabbed his hand anxiously, “We need to help Claire! Hurry!”

“Claire? You mean Claire Redfield? Where is she?” Dustin was tensed, too.

Since their unscheduled separation in the pharmaceutical factory of Umbrella, he has been finding a way out of the sewer system. He found an elevator in the west district that could take him back to the factory, but it required a proper clearance to operate, which he didn’t have.

“It’s not far from here! I’ll take you there!” Sherry tried her best to get him moving and he followed.

But when they got back to the elevator room, Claire was no where to be seen. Judging by the footsteps on the floor, Dustin could tell that Claire wandered in these rooms and jumped down the rift after she woke up. However, he couldn’t track her further.

“Don’t worry, I bet she didn’t go very far. We can find her.” Dustin smiled and patted her shoulder to comfort her.

“OK.” Looking at the professional Sherry wasn’t as afraid as before.

That being said, Dustin was the one who was worrying here. The fear in his heart was so strong that he couldn’t leave without asking this one question first.

“Hey, Sherry, was Claire alone when she found you?” Dustin’s lips were almost shaking when he spoke.

“Uh...There was another lady called Sam...but, she got bitten and...” Sherry was uncomfortably quivering when she remembered the scene and replied. And when she saw the horror and sadness in the man’s eyes, she could feel that, too.

Dustin held his fists tightly and gritted his teeth in sorrow. Sometimes he would blame himself for not doing enough, even if it wasn’t his fault. But he knew that he couldn’t drown himself in remorse and regret right now.

“Come on. Let’s find Claire first.” Dustin took a deep breath and led on. Sherry quietly followed.

They didn’t talk to each other very much on the way, as Dustin was keeping alert and Sherry was thinking about her mother and Claire. She was hoping to find her mom here, but after seeing the pitiful sights there wasn’t much hope left.

It turned out that traversing the sewer system with a child was extremely dangerous. For many times they needed to cut through swarms of vampires with bullets, which were not much left. He had to be vigilant to protect Sherry and stay alive, as one little mistake would kill them.

One was enough. And one he would inevitably make.

Dustin emptied the clips of both his submachine gun and magnum, and eventually took down every vampire in front of him. Just when he was about to reload, a naked female vampire came out of nowhere and charged at him. He could’ve finished reloading before the vampire got him, if he hadn’t looked at the short black hair, the cute face and the jewel-like eyes of her.

“Sam...?” He hesitated for a moment and the clip was one inch away from being loaded. The hesitation, however, could be fatal.

Vampire Sam up swung her claw, ripped Dustin’s trousers and knocked down the gun in one move before running him down on the floor. She smiled ferociously and bit down, only to be stopped by a strong hand **** her throat and another grabbing her arm.

She grabbed his arm with her available hand and tried to remove it, but the strength of them were well-matched.

“Sherry, run!” Dustin yelled at the child behind him.

He could only hold back Sam to prevent her from biting down as he couldn’t **** a vampire to ****, but deep down he knew that his strength would eventually run out and he would lose the fight against the undead.

Sherry was terrified and, almost by instinct, she climbed in the vent at the end of the passageway. Unfortunately, there was a slope inside the vent and she immediately fell down after a short scream.

Dustin didn’t know whether Sherry was OK or where the vent would lead her to, however, the danger in front of him was more imminent.

“Sam...! You’re still in there...are you!?” He tried to fight back but the vampire’s strength was too strong. He shouted at her, could only hope for a miracle to happen, and got nothing but hungry growls from the once cute, gentle girl.

The duo kept struggling for a few seconds before things took a quick turn, when they realized that Dustin’s manhood was gradually erecting. He looked down in despair as he couldn’t fight back the physiological impulse.

A wicked light flashed in Sam’s eyes. While still grabbing his arm with full strength, she softly sat down and teased the head of Dustin’s manhood with her labia.

“No...I...Mm...” Dustin felt his hands shaking. He tried, but he knew that he was at the brink of failing.
