A classmate of Annabeth Chase

"So... you mean the Greek Mythologies are all real?"

Lucas muttered in shock.

He stared at his classmate sitting across the table.

The blonde-haired, slightly tanned girl grunted with her arms on the table.

"Yes, all of it is real, Hayes.

Not to say that every version of the myth is entirely true; it's just that... in the past, some version of the mythology occurred.

For example, Medusa has a variety of versions within the mythology, but in reality, she did have two children with Poseidon at Athena's temple."

"I see..."

Lucas slowly nodded.

As one of the many students interested in archaeology, the fact that the Ancient Greek Mythologies were real was a very shocking revelation indeed.

But, as shocking as it was, it was nothing compared to another discovery he was about to make.

"And... you aren't supposed to tell any of this to me."

Annabeth scowled.

Her foot tapped on the floor nervously.

"I mean... It's a grey area.

We are supposed to keep it a secret from regular mortals, even if the Mist protects all the magical stuff happening around them.

But..."

Annabeth frowned slightly as she struggled to form the next few words.

Whenever Annabeth choked on her words, it was always when she tried to reason something within her.

"...I-it is normal for me to...tell you, of all people."

Finally, Annabeth answered.

She didn't look happy about the answer she gave, but also she didn't seem to doubt it for a second, which proved the second, and far more important theory.

'These earrings have a power to make things normal...!'

Lucas shuddered slightly as he touched the earrings in his ears.

It was a complete accident how he got it.

After one of the many boring lectures about history was over, he found the N-shaped earrings left behind from Annabeth's seat.

He had just tried them out when Annabeth burst into his dorm room, demanding that he return the items... and he had replied by saying the following sentence:

"Hey, if you are going to make a fuss, at least explain what the deal is to me. That's what normal people do, isn't it?"

And to his surprise, Annabeth indeed sat down and explained what the deal of the earring was.

And now, Lucas understood what he had got his hands on.

A pair of one of the strongest magical artifacts in the world, where magic and mythology was 100% real.

"...So, can I get them back now?"

Annabeth asked.

She held out her arm and opened her hand.
