A case of Poison Ivy

A man in a suit stood in front of Pammie and her mother, with her friend Brucie standing next to him. He was the famous Thomas Wayne of Wayne Enterprises. The richest man in Gotham if not the country. He spoke to her mother,

"Mrs. Isley, I tried my best. As much as they tried to deny it, it was the fault of the university that your husband past away. That tropical plant shouldn't have been mislabeled. If it had been labeled correctly, your husband would have known to take precautions. Then to avoid trouble, my fellow board members lawyered up instead of helping develop an antidote to the poison in the plant."

"Thank you, Mr. Wayne. At least you have been honest with us, even using your company to try to develop an antidote. Even if it wasn't in time my love, at least it could be used to help people in the future. He would have been thankful for that." answered Pammie's mother, as the little redheaded girl in the green sundress listened. Still sad that her kind daddy wasn't coming back. Even holding a rose she had plucked from the rosebush they had planted together.

"I know it won't replaced your husband, but allow me to offer help. For getting you set up in your new home, as well as developing a trust fund for young Pamela for her future education." he said passing the woman a set of paper.

She gasped as she answered, "Mr. Wayne! This is too much!"

"No, it is only the bare minimum I can do. It is also a good lesson for my young son, Bruce. To take responcibility for your actions, directly or indirectly. Also to help those in need when ever he can. Especially good friends like you have been to use when ever my wife needed flowers and other plants for our garden and grounds. I hope the future is better to the two of you then the past has been"

Pam's mother smiled as she answered, "Thank you, Mr. Wayne. Thank you for everything."

Before they walked away, Pammie gave her friend Brucie her rose and a kiss on the cheek. She could see him turn red as his hand raised to the spot he kissed.

Years later...

Pamela Isley, recently returned to the city of Gotham after years of being gone, looked at the rebuilt Isley Nursery. Her new home... and cover for her criminal plans. A paper before her held a list of names. Those of the Board of Gotham University, all those years ago, which lead to her father's ****. Including all of their most important elements. Everything which they respested about themselves.

'They destroyed his life with what he loved, I'll destroy their lives with what they loved. And if I get rich on the way, all the better.' thought the now beautiful redhead. However there was one name, kept seperate from the others.

'One of the only ones to help, however, will be richly rewarded.' she thought as she kissed the paper next to the name kept alone. One Bruce Wayne!
