A Little Birdie Told Me…
Sunday mornings are usually rather quiet, even in a city as bustling as New York can be. Most people are out at church, doing breakfast with their families, or otherwise occupied. That is, everyone except the grand CEO of Oscorp Industries: Norma Osborn.

Norma had already spent the day in about three different meetings with a ton of different executives, both local and overseas, on the integration of Oscorp products into their markets. While most corporations at least took Sunday’s for a break, Norma saw that as a weakness that she could exploit. While everyone else was resting, she was ready to work.
It was at this time though that she was leaving the Oscorp building for a mini meal down the street. She had a favorite bakery within walking distance of her building, and she had just enough time between meetings to get there and get back before her next one starts. Norma had a real soft spot for this place, and even donated a sizable amount of money to keep the place open in hard times. So, for a bit of good will, Norma tried to go there at least twice a week.
Norma had just stepped out into the city streets and started to walk down the block. Her mind was currently too focused, as she was currently on the phone with another client, to truly notice her surroundings. She pushed her way past a skateboard-punk trying to do a trick over a bench, she almost stepped on a homeless woman begging for change on the corner, and she practically kicked a golden retriever that had walked into her path. Norma wasn’t exactly the most observant in moments like this, but what she heard next most certainly got her attention.
“Osborn!” Screamed a loud, high pitched voice seemingly from the heavens. Everyone around Norma began to look to the sky in awe, but as soon as Norma followed their gaze it was far too late to truly react. What she saw made her jaw drop and eyes widen as she hung up the phone, and made eyes with a very familiar petite blonde woman in the sky, carried by a metal winged exoskeleton.

“I told you! You will pay for this!” Toomes screamed as she swung herself down. Before Norma had the opportunity to turn and make an escape, like a vulture, Toomes scoops her way down and a metallic talon grasps into the back of Norma’s collared shirt, and drags her into the air as the CEO screams for help.
“What on earth do you think you’re doing you mad woman?” Norma screams as she starts banging her fist against the metal of the makeshift talon clawing into the back of her very overpriced clothing.
“Oh I’m the mad one?” Toomes shrieks down at her captive before, with a smirk, she lets Norma loose into a free fall for about three seconds, before swooping back down and catching her again in her claws, this time grabbing Norma by her pants and seemingly giving her one hell of a wedgie. “You are the one who fired your most valuable employee. You are the one who humiliated me in front of my colleagues. And most importantly, you are the one currently attempting to break the grip of the only thing stopping you from making that fat ass go splat on the pavement below.” Toomes says with a giggle, teasingly letting her grip go slightly limp, as if to make a point, as she continues to fly through the city at mach speed.
“What do you want, you vulture?” Norma growls as she looks up to Toomes now without a hint of fear in her eyes as she stares down the insane woman who kidnapped her. “Do you want your job back? Because that is definitely out of the question.”
Toomes only giggles at Norma’s words as she starts to angle herself up, and begins to fly higher in the sky now, about to cross the skyline and fly high above the nearest skyscraper. The air was beginning to get thinner now and Norma was having a slightly harder time breathing, but she attempted to hold her composure.
“My job? Oh! Norma, you flatter me. Why would I ever stoop so low as to work for a lowlife bitch like you again?” She growls as she flies herself higher, and higher still, with a huge smirk on her face that only grew wider by the second. “What I want is an apology. That’s it. Just two simple words. I’m. Sorry.” She growls, as she stares down at Norma.
This time it was Norma’s turn to smile as she looked up at Toomes, and an almost psychotic breakthrough of laughter escapes her lips. “I don’t apologize.” She says in an almost too calm of a voice, given her situation.
Toomes squints down at her former boss with a look of pure disdain, and she lets out a quick growl that turns into a small chuckle. “Well… then I hope the people remember you for the stubborn bitch you were.” Toomes says with a smile, before the talon holding Norma in its grasp fully lets go.
