A Griffon

It had been years since you left your ancestral home of the Griffon Kingdom to come live in the relative peace and prosperity of Equestria; your wanderings lasting for several moons in search for a place to properly lay your head. This, unsurprisingly, has shown to be a rather difficult task given how terrified the local population of the kingdom is of your kind. At times you wonder if you'll ever meet anypony that WON'T shit themselves at the sight of an intelligent (and well mannered if you do say so yourself) predator walking around with a sack of gold and desire to settle down. Let alone the fact that you left your home in search for a more peaceful existence rather than the warrior like existence that most of your kind so deeply relishes in. For once you'd like to meet a few ponies that would be open enough and kind enough to look past your fearsome presence and try to get the to know the being inside...and perhaps then you would be able to raise the sun and the moon and be crowned high overseer of the entire bloody world.

As this thought crosses your mind you heave a heavy sigh, your winged body gently gliding down as you spot the outskirts of a town coming up below you. You have seen, and suffered, more than once the paranoia and overreaction that ponies can have about creatures that are not pegasi flying in their air space so you have taken to walking into town rather than fly; an annoying task to be sure but if it was enough to ensure no one went mad from fright, then it was alright by you. With two paws and two claws on the ground you begin you trek into town, passing along the way a small sign that reads "Welcome to Ponyville"
