yo here is my thoughts on the disney show thing lol

I’m going to add something no one has asked for, and that’s because I’m again kind of interested in revisiting this little side project.

Here’s my overall review of the first four episodes of the new Percy Jackson series on Disney+... While writing this, I’m a little drunk, so forgive mistakes and any forgotten details.

I guess I’ll start with the cast.

I think Percy’s mom is pretty hot. Total milf, so that’s a pretty good plus. They could have cast someone a little younger to play the part, but I don’t have any complaints about how she acts on her character. That’s rad. I liked Gabe, but I liked Percy’s movie reaction A LOT, so it’s a mixed bag of responses, man.

Percy himself is actually REALLY good. I haven’t just read the books multiple times, but I even took the time to purchase the series on audio and have listened to them TWICE since I first got an audible account.

As for Grover, I honestly didn’t have a problem with him in the beginning, but the more I think about it, the worse he gets. I’ll be honest, however. I actually liked Grover in the movie (I never watched Sea of Monsters; don’t kill me.)

In the movie, Grover is the complete opposite of who he is in the book, but I didn’t find him unlikeable. Grover from the series, however, went from being decent to…I don’t know. He’s not bad. I just don’t like him.

Annabeth. They couldn’t have done worse with the casting. I mean, I’m not racist, and if there are snowflakes that stumble over this, I need to make that clear now, but holy shit Disney fucked the pooch. That said, What’s-her-face plays A VERY GOOD Annabeth, so I immensely like her.

Luke is an ass, but it’s too early to say anything. I also hate the broccoli cut these damn kids are getting these days, so that doesn’t help.

Chiron, well, pretty bad, if I’m going to be honest. I really liked the original actor they had from the movie. Definitely feels like a political cast.

Those are all my comments for the cast. Suppose anyone really cares about the more profound thoughts in my mind about these certain characters. In that case, I think it would be amusing to make individual tabs for everyone and have me either rant or rave about the positives and the negatives about the characters from the books, the movies, and the series. Post your thoughts, and it would be fun.

I think the camp itself kind of looks like ass. That’s another aspect I liked from the movie– I thought the movie nailed it.

The worst episode is, hands down, the one with Medusa currently. That was horrible. That was ugly. I did not like it. It remains one of my favorite parts in the book, and the fact they did it dirty? Man, it pisses me off, man.
