Chapter 7
by
Izix
Gather your loot and head back?
yes
All this loot laying around, and it is all yours. With a smile on your maw you set to gathering every usable item around you. Flying up the tree first you break the arrow impaling the elf so you can get him to the ground seeing as how taking his gear in a tree would be a big hassle. Dumping his corpse next to his companions you fly up one last time to grab his bow, giving it a quick look you notice that it is a fine weapon, great craftsmanship and surprisingly light, you stow it into your pouch and make a mental note to check it out in detail once you get back to your master.
After dragging the body of the wounded elf to the rest of the dead heroes in the middle of the camp you start stripping them of their gear, The gear of both the gnome and the dwarf is burned badly however making it nearly useless, you are about to go on to the human when you spot a shimmer from the dwarves neck, ripping his seared chest piece away you spot a golden amulet, the voice in your head chimes in: "dwarven craft, expensive but useless. No magical property what so ever". A primal instinct in your head tells you that even tough it is useless you want it, so sliding it into your pouch you go on with your scavenger hunt.
Systematically you strip and search the heroes and their tents, when the sun rises in the sky you have a pretty big pile of loot:
-One human size steel armor, enchanted.
-One dwarven craft steel war-hammer.
-One silver dwarven axe engraved.
-One gnomish net trowing devise.
-Two simple daggers.
-One simple green cloth armor elven sized
-One elven robe, enchanted
-One ingraved staff probably used for magic
-600 golden circles(the voice in your head claims they are coins, a currency used by the "free folk")
-A few rings and trinkets
-A backpack full of books and reagents
-One bounty poster: Wanted overlord DEAD
As it appears the wounded elf was a mage, in his tent you found a "backpack" full of books and reagents. You might learn something from them, if not your master might have use for them.
Putting all of your loot into the pouch you trow dirt on the fire and with a roar you take off, leaving the corpses for the creatures of the woods to deal with.
The same sense of direction that steered you towards the camp now guides you back towards the citadel.
a few hours later
You land in the middle of the great citadel, before you is the door to your masters throne room, the seat of his power. Entering you see your master in the other end of the room seated on a huge obsidian throne, to his right you see Uldar, both seem to look up as you approach. You hear faint whispering of the other monsters in the room but pay them no attention. As you kneel before your master he speaks: "You have returned.... Tell me minion..... Where you successful....?
"Yes master i was" you say as you start to tell how you took out all five of the heroes.
Is your master pleased you killed all 5 of the heroes?

Memoirs of a Minion
Fight, kill, die and fuck for your evil master (not necessarily in that order)!
Inspired by the immensely entertaining CHYOO story "Game Monster" by Cantalope and the very awesome video game, Overlord, in this story you are a magically spawned minion-type creature (goblin, zombie, ghoul, dark knight, etc) born to live, fight and die for your evil overlord master. Serve your master well and survive the many pitfalls of minion-dom and rise up above the rank of fodder for heroes to your overlord's right hand. Fail or betray your master (and get caught doing so) and meet your gruesome and horrible . In either case, you'll be sure to fight, kill and (if you're lucky)defile heroes and other creatures and foes along the way, all in the name of your dark master!
