I stop the car in front of Jenny and Karla. "Ride with us," Alice calls at Karla.

As Karla joins Alice and Alex in the back, I open the front passenger door for Jenny. "You can sit here," I say. She bends her legs and steps into the car, smiling shyly. I cannot help but notice her smooth legs as her dress hikes up a few inches.
