The crisp crack of snapping twig brought Eilwy immediately to her senses. Her face fierce, she turned with a spell ready on her lips.

Gorge, cover blown, roared and charged. For a fraction of a second, Eilwy froze - the hairy troll, its arms outstretched and huge, leathery cock dangerously erect with glistening intent, had gotten sooo close to jumping her! - and then she unleashed her spell.

The troll immediately shrank to a much more manageable size, not much taller than the long stemmed mushroom Eilwy was looking for. It crashed into her shin and fell back, looking dumbfounded. Eilwy bent over and scooped it up by the scruff of its neck.

"Aw, aren't you cute?" She grinned, as the troll struggled and kicked. "Were you intending to use this on me?" She flicked dismissively at the troll's swollen member, driving it wild with frustration. For a moment Eilwy pictured what would have happened if the the troll had managed to sneak up on her, and the sweaty, painful consequences.... With a small shudder she drove the thought from her mind.

"I'm not sure what to do with you," Eilwy said thoughtfully. "But you might be useful I guess. If nothing else, I could maybe use you as a pet."

Eilwy dropped the troll into a glass jar, perforated with air holes, and slipped iy into her magic bag.

"Now. That mushroom..."

Eilwy scrabbled around the forest for another hour, but could not find her ingredient. She was about to give up in frustration when she heard more movement in the forest! The rustling of feet on leaves was giving somthing - somethings - away.
