You and Ethan sit and watch the previews, eating popcorn. Occasionally, you both reach for the popcorn at the same time and your hands touch which sends an involuntary thrill through you.

You sit and watch the movie. It's surprisingly well done with very high production values. The Towering Dark itself is very well realized, a spire of darkness thrusting into the heavens. The heroine of the movie is the standard horror movie heroine. This one is blonde and bubbly. She actually looks a lot like you the last time you looked in the mirror and this makes you uncomfortable. You find yourself strongly identifying with her and, as the movie progresses, you feel like you're going through what she's going through. In one particularly frightening scene, you gasp and jump closer to Ethan who puts his arm around your shoulders to steady you.
