"I guess this is why friends don't date." Andrew chuckled nervously. "I guess we know too much about each other."

"Maybe, I'm sure there's stuff you never told me, I know there's stuff I never told you."

"What haven't you told me?" Andrew was genuinely surprised, they had spent most of their days together since second grade, and what Andrew wasn't there for Brian told him about, right?"

"Alright, but only if you share something too. Deal?"

"Deal."

Brian smiled, "Okay, so remember when I went to computer camp?"

"Yeah?"

"I didn't really go to computer camp like I was supposed to. I actually kind of...ran away for two weeks."

"What?!"

"I took the money I made jailbreaking phones and took a bus to Boston to see a concert."

"For two weeks?"

"Okay...so, I got to go backstage and hang out with the band, and well, I woke up on a bus in Milwaukee with no money and no phone."

"How'd you get back?"

Brian shrugged. "Hitched."

"You hitchhiked over a thousand miles?! You could've been hurt!"

"Gee, I didn't think you cared. The big help was when Nico helped me hop on the boxcar. Of course, he just wanted my shoes." Brian smiled at his date. "Okay, your turn."

"What? You can't leave me hanging like that."

"Then you better make it good."

Andrew grumbled trying to think of something he hadn't told him before. Finally, it came to him, "Okay, you remember the girl Melanie?"

"Yeah, she was hot." Brian stammered when Andrew gave him a dirty look. "Obviously not as hot as you though."

Andrew rolled his eyes, his friend really was an idiot when it came to girls..."Anyway, she thought it would be fun if we did some roleplaying." Andrew nervously drank his wine. "She wanted to...role swap."

"What do you mean?"

"She put on my clothes and I put on...hers."

Brian couldn't believe it, "So this isn't the first time you've been dressed like a girl?"

"No."

"You really went along with that?" Andrew nodded, "Why?"

"She was hot." They laughed for a moment slowly dying down as Brian took his hand.

"Isn't there some kinda rule against talking about an ex on the first date?"

"True."

"So, I get a strike removed right?"

"I'll think about it."

"Woohoo!" Brian cheered, "I'm really enjoying our date, I'd hate for it to end too soon." Andrew was surprised at how far Brian was willing to go to stay in character.

Their date continued without Brian getting another strike but he didn't miss any opportunity he found to show his friend affection Whether it was holding Andrew's hand or feeding him bites of food from his own plate then wiping away any residue from his cheek. Finally, having finished their food they found themselves in silence once again, but not the awkward, nervous, silence of before but a comfortable silence while they gazed into each other's eyes.

Brian continued to impress him, pulling out his own moves on him. "Girls just eat that shit up." He had told him not too long ago. He never thought he paid attention to his tips but he was glad to see he was wrong. But if he had truly paid attention he would-"Hey, you wanna get out of here and see a movie?" Yes, don't let the date end too soon, get her somewhere dar and try for second base. Brian would be getting in a girl's panties before he knew it. Andrew smiled with pride, and his heartbeat quickened when Brian took his hand, from pride.
