there's trouble brewing

"Becky.." Kay lee ray said warningly as she stormed backstage.

"oh not this again!" Becky muttered.

"yes THIS AGAIN!" Kay lee said grabbing her by the arm.

"why ya gotta be like this Kaylee? I'm THE BEST."

"an' I'm na' sayin' ye arent! but it's goin' ta yer head!"

Becky looked hurt.

"Kay lee.."

Kaylee gently touched Becky's face.

"yer my sweet lass, Becky. just don't lose sight o' who ye are."

Becky took both of Kaylee's hands in her own, lacing their fingers.

she looked Kay lee in the eyes.

"Becky?" Kay lee asked softly.

"Kay lee, we've been through so much ta'gether."

Becky said quietly.

"ya've always been there fer me. we're a team."

Becky squeezed her hands tightly.

"Kay lee ray....will ya marry me?"

Kay lees eyes tightened and her mouth quirked.

"Becky....I dinnae ken."

Becky gaped at her.

"what do ye MEAN YOU DONT KNOW!"

Kay lee sighed.

"Becky, if ye had asked me a few months ago I woulda' said 'yes' in a heartbeat. but the way yer actin' now... I just dont KNOW."

Kay lee firmly extracted her hands from Becky's grasp and walked away.

Becky watched her go, dumbfounded.
