the sensory and perception upgrade

"What kind of upgrade is this ?"asked Samus, "the upgrade is simply meant to heighten your senses and make you more aware of your sorroundings", informed the AI. Then Samus selected the aptly named upgrade and tried to insert it into her neck, but suddenly a jolt of electricity exploded from the chip which knocked her unconcious.

Turns out the chip's function is to make it so that Samus can't feel or see anything different about her body except for her head.
