Chapter 26 by Mrservus Mrservus

Before they boarded the boat heading toward Mt. Aocang, Rosaria suddenly grabbed Ganyu by the wrist and pulled her aside behind a stack of cargo crates near the docks.

Aether waited a respectful distance away, pretending not to notice.

Rosaria’s usual lazy demeanor was gone. Her red eyes were sharp, almost predatory, as her possessive side finally reared its head.

“Be honest with me,” she said sternly, voice low. “How do you feel about him? Emotionally. No filtering. No bullshit.”

Ganyu met her gaze calmly. Even after everything, her honesty remained absolute.

“I am deeply grateful to him,” she answered softly. “He freed something in me I had buried for centuries. I feel… attachment. Strong attachment. I admire him. I desire him. And but… I am not falling in love with him.”

Rosaria’s jaw tightened.

Ganyu continued without hesitation, her voice gentle but completely unfiltered:

“But I know my place. I am beneath you. You were with him first. You travel with him. You are the one he holds at night. I would never try to come between you two. I saw how you looked at him this morning… how much you love him. It’s written all over your face when you think no one is watching. You love him with your whole heart, even if you pretend to be cold and indifferent. I respect that. I would rather serve both of you than ever threaten what you have.”

Rosaria’s face slowly turned a deep shade of red.

The usually unflappable nun was suddenly extremely embarrassed.

Ganyu tilted her head slightly, still speaking with that calm, honest tone:

“You get flustered when he worries about your smoking. You cling to him when you sleep. You—”

“Enough,” Rosaria cut her off sharply, ears burning. She looked away, clearly regretting ever starting this conversation. “I get it. You’re not a threat. Just… stop talking.”

Ganyu smiled softly, a hint of understanding in her eyes.

“As you wish.”

She gave a small, respectful bow and walked back toward Aether like nothing had happened, leaving Rosaria standing there, arms crossed tightly, cheeks still flushed.

When Rosaria finally rejoined them, she punched Aether lightly in the arm.

“Not a word,” she muttered.

Aether just smiled, wisely choosing silence.

Ganyu stood beside them peacefully, looking perfectly content and professional once again, as if she hadn’t just calmly dissected Rosaria’s deepest feelings in under two minutes.

The boat was ready.
