Kevin tapped a remote to turn the robot on. Its chest expanded slightly and its skin grew warm. Kevin put an ear to its chest, and he was pleased to find he could only faintly hear the internal processes. They could easily be masked by more organic sounds.

"Perfect." Kevin chuckled at his success.

"Thank you." A warm voice chimed from above.

Kevin was surprised, but not one to show it. He calmly moved a bit away to regard the now smiling gynoid. "How can you do anything?"

The machine looks confused as it tries to answer. "I have the right parts to do it?"

"There's nothing written on your disk; you have zero data. The only thing you should be capable of doing is turning on."

"Well, all I know is I started growing when you turned me on. I'm sorry I didn't go how you planned."

Sorry? Fuck, it was sapient. No way the general public would go along with this.

"I can still do that." it said through a heavy blush

The gynoid looked out with half-lidded, glazed eyes and panted at the description. it asked "Are you offering?"
