"Erica?" I heard Carrie call my name behind me.

I did my best to pretend like I didn't hear her, because if I did, I would probably have to face the consequences of my actions.

This time it was Alicia calling my name, insinuating that I should pay up immediately, groaning in frustration, I did as I was told and pulled up at the side of the road, it was a big open space with nothing to see but long stretches of sand and a few trees here and there, no buildings or shops or anything.

I heard the doors of the backseat open behind me as I turned the car off, and dejectedly stepped out of the car myself, I slowly brought myself to stand in front of my two friends, who decided to stand in front of the car.
