small change in plans

I let out an exasperated huff. "Azula..remember what we talked about?" Her mood changes to the unsure self conscious version. "B-but I thought that was a good decision..." She starts to chew her finger trying to hold back a sniffle.

I gently pat her head. "Compramises remember? A good ruler knows that compramises are sometimes neccesary." I touch her forehead with mine she mewls happly at the touch. "Try offering Toph something to make her happier."

"L-like what?" I crack my back and stretch. I place my hands on Azula and Toph's shoulders respectively. "That's for you two to decide. If we are going to be a family the two of you need to learn to work out your diffrences." They both blush slightly but dont say anything.

"I'm going to brush my teeth and get ready for bed. You have 30 minutes to decide. otherwise you both will be sleeping in the guestroom tonight." I give them both a gentle squeeze and walk to the bathroom.

20 minutes later I'm lieing in the middle of the bed anout to drift of to sleep when I spot two forms sneaking into the room. "Do you think he's still mad?" One whispers "Shh!..He might hear you." I smile at there antics. (Seems the tought of not being with me overrode whatever rivalry they had...for the moment that is)

"You remember the plan?" "Duh..I'm not stupid.." They both pull the covers up and squirm inside.
