room service
Saturday afternoon passed in a strange, feverish haze. Wrapped in the thick terrycloth robe, I lay on the lounger behind Loona, while beneath the blanket my body slowly cooled down and the dull, relentless throbbing of the steel faded into a steady baseline hum. Richard took his leave around four in the afternoon: the files for Geneva demanded his undivided focus, and he intended to spend the evening in the suite to be well-rested for his early flight on Sunday morning. With a firm handshake and sincere paternal pride, he sent me on my way.
When Sunday morning broke, the respectable facade dissolved once and for all.
Richard had departed for the airport with the chauffeur well before dawn. Vanessa joined us on the terrace for a late croissant before making her own departure. With a detached, knowing smile, she stroked Loona’s cheek and offered me a curt nod. Her black Mercedes glided silently away over the gravel of the driveway.
We were alone. Yet rather than pressing for an immediate departure, Loona led me back to the east wing.
"We have an hour until check-out, John," she said calmly as the heavy timber door of our apartment clicked shut. Placing her handbag on the console table, she turned to me with crossed arms. "And before we head to the station, there is a small matter to attend to."
My eyes darted nervously across the room. "Should I… pack the bags?"
"The bags are already packed," she countered smoothly. Her eyes gleamed with that dark, calculating glint that instantly turned the blood to ice in my veins. "Take off the robe. Trousers and shirt as well. You will remain in the silk blouse—and nothing else."
The breath caught in my throat. The burgundy blouse reached barely to the midpoint of my thighs. Beneath it, there was no fabric at all: only my bare, shaved legs and the cold, exposed metal of the chastity cage, its M10 thread gleaming unobstructed at the tip.
"Loona… please, we have to walk through the lobby in a moment…," I managed hoarsely.
"No backtalk," she cut me off with quiet severity. "On your knees. Directly in front of the large double bed. Rest your hands on the edge of the mattress, eyes cast down. Thighs parted slightly, back arched. You do not move, you do not speak, and you look at no one."
I was trembling from head to foot as I carried out the order. The cool parquet burned against my knees. The silk blouse draped forward, covering my upper back, but in that bowed posture, the smooth fabric pulled taut across my shoulder blades, leaving my lower body completely defenseless from behind and the sides. The surgical-steel base ring dug deep into raw flesh, while the velvet band tightened around my throat like a brand. The M10 thread projected rigidly between my knees, catching the morning light that poured through the glass front.
At that exact moment, a discreet double knock sounded at the door.
"Come in, please!" Loona called out in an entirely natural, pleasant voice, as though expecting room service.
The door swung open. These were not the footsteps of hotel guests, but the quiet roll of a service trolley and the squeak of rubber soles against the hallway tiles.
"Housekeeping, good morning…," began a young woman in the resort's charcoal uniform, carrying a stack of fresh linens. Right behind her followed a young man in a matching vest, wheeling the heavy laundry vacuum across the threshold.
Mid-stride, both fell dead silent. The rolling wheels came to an abrupt halt.
My entire frame froze into a pillar of stone. My heart hammered against my ribs with such violence that my vision blurred. I was laid bare before two people my own age—kneeling, exposed, clad in a sheer women's blouse and padlocked in steel, arranged like a trained piece of furniture.
"Good morning," Loona said with the offhand arrogance of an affluent hotel guest unburdened by shame. Standing at ease by the window, sipping a glass of water, she treated my presence as entirely unremarkable. "You can take the used towels from the bathroom and strip the bed. We are checking out in twenty minutes."
A choked, stunned silence hung in the air. For several heartbeats, neither the woman nor the man moved an inch.
I did not dare breathe, staring transfixed at the gold-and-white pattern of the sheet beneath my hands. I heard the faint rustle of their uniforms as they forced themselves into motion. The young woman walked slowly around the foot of the bed with the laundry bag. Her steps were hesitant; she passed barely three feet from my bare thighs.
Her gaze burned into my flesh like boiling water. I could feel her eyes snag on the shaved skin of my legs, track the contours of the surgical steel, and finally lock onto the solid miniature padlock. She drew a sharp, uneven breath—a nearly silent, stunned gasp.
The young man had moved to the opposite side. Standing at the head of the bed, diagonally before me, his hands rested motionless against the pillows. His gaze was locked downward, straight at the M10 thread protruding unyieldingly between my knees. A dark flush crept up his neck and flooded his cheeks. The mixture of sensory overload, embarrassment, and an involuntary fascination was written across his face. He traded a hurried, rattled glance with his coworker, but neither dared to utter a word.
"He can be rather stubborn when it comes to punctuality," Loona added with velvety chill. Leaning her back against the windowsill, she observed the scene with open amusement. "One occasionally has to remind him of his place to bring him to his senses. Pay him no mind—he will stay precisely like that until I grant him leave."
The young man swallowed hard. Lowering his head, he tore his eyes away from my groin and began stripping the pillowcases with erratic, hurried motions. With every tug, the heavy linen billowed, sending a cool draft across my exposed back and the raw welts on my thighs.
Meanwhile, the young woman approached the edge of the mattress to release the fitted sheet—right beside my braced, white-knuckled hands. Her knuckles brushed the fabric of my sleeve. She hurried to free the linen from beneath the mattress, yet her eyes drifted repeatedly to the tiny padlock at my throat and the bare metal between my legs. The room was filled with the metallic clatter of laundry frames and the clean scent of fresh linen, clashing brutally with the sweat of my humiliation.
Every second of those endless minutes etched itself as an indelible disgrace into my consciousness. I was no longer a Charité medical student, no longer the respectable son of a prominent household. Before two strangers roughly my own age, I was nothing more than a disciplined, bound plaything in the hands of a dominant woman.
When the two of them gathered the final used towels from the bathroom and loaded the trolley, Loona reached calmly into her clutch. Withdrawing two crisp fifty-euro notes, she stepped onto the carpet toward them.
"Thank you very much for your efforts this weekend," she said with that polished, engaging smile that brooked no contradiction, handing the cash to each of them. "For the prompt and discreet service."
The young woman stared briefly at the bill in her palm, traded another fleeting look with her colleague, and nodded hastily. "Th-thank you very much, ma'am… safe travels home."
The young man stammered a farewell of his own. On his way out, he couldn't help himself: he cast one final, searching glance over his shoulder at my bare, bowed frame before wheeling the cart out into the corridor. The heavy wooden door clicked shut, and the latch severed the outside world once more.
The silence in the apartment was deafening.
My arms gave way. I collapsed forward onto the bare mattress, burying my face in the fabric, gasping for air. Tears of shame, exhaustion, and absolute unraveling tracked across my temples. My entire body shook under the accumulated tension and the weight of the humiliation.
Loona stepped up behind me. I heard the quiet click of her heels against the floorboards before the weight of her hand settled against the back of my head. Her fingers moved gently, almost maternally through my hair, softly scratching the nape of my neck.
"Easy now, John," she whispered, her voice once again rich with that deep, intoxicating warmth that left me entirely defenseless. "You didn't move a millimeter. You didn't make a sound. You bore the disgrace like a perfect, obedient boy."
Her other hand drifted down, tracing over my tense flank and trailing cool fingertips across the longitudinal bars of the cage. The metal vibrated faintly beneath her touch.
"They saw what you are. But they don't know who you are out there. To them, you are simply the boy in the cage kneeling before me. And that is precisely where you belong." Leaning down, she pressed a soft kiss to the crown of my head, then gently pulled me up by the shoulders. "Come. Get dressed. The trousers, the white shirt, the coat. We are heading to the station. And once we are home in Berlin… we will settle every single promise."
