His heartbeat quickened. “So…we start simple. One or two variables. Short sessions. Get comfortable. Then we escalate. But every time, I have to remember: you’re the center. I’m…a ripple.”

“And mistakes are part of it,” she added, eyes gleaming with mischief. “Miss a word, overlook a detail, and we might wake up tomorrow in a reality neither of us expected. That’s part of the thrill—the danger. The erotic tension. The unknown.”
