what is bet?
outfit
As the battle raged on, Edelgard's determination only grew stronger. She clashed swords with Dimitri, their blades flashing in the sunlight as they exchanged blow after blow. But despite her valiant efforts, the tide of the battle began to turn against her. Felix, the Blue Lions' skilled swordsman, landed a critical hit on Ferdinand, sending him stumbling back. Edelgard's eyes widened in alarm as she rushed to her teammate's aid, but it was too late. The Blue Lions had already gained the upper hand, and their victory was all but assured.
As the Blue Lions' victory became apparent, Dimitri's face lit up with a triumphant smile. He raised his sword in the air, and his teammates cheered, their voices echoing across the battlefield. Edelgard's eyes narrowed, her jaw clenched in frustration. She glared at Dimitri, her gaze burning with a fierce determination. The air was thick with tension as the two house leaders locked eyes, the outcome of the battle hanging in the balance.
Felix, still grinning from his successful attack on Ferdinand, approached Dimitri, clapping him on the back. "Well done, Dimitri! You really showed them who's boss!" he exclaimed.
As Dimitri's smile grew wider, he began to speak, his voice dripping with amusement. "And, Edelgard, I'm afraid there are a few...additional clauses to our agreement that you weren't aware of." Edelgard's eyes narrowed, a spark of unease igniting within her. "What are you talking about, Dimitri?" she demanded, her voice firm but laced with a hint of wariness.
Dimitri chuckled, clearly enjoying the upper hand. "Well, for one, the loser of the battle will have to wear whatever the winner deems fitting for the entire week." Edelgard's eyes widened in horror as Dimitri's grin grew even wider.
Edelgard's face turned a deep shade of crimson as she processed the humiliating terms of the bet. Her eyes darted to Byleth, who was watching the exchange with an unreadable expression, before returning to Dimitri's triumphant smile. "You expect me to wear...whatever you choose?" she repeated, her voice laced with disgust. Dimitri nodded, clearly savoring her discomfort. "That's right, Edelgard. And I have just the thing in mind." He turned to Felix, who was still grinning from ear to ear. "Felix, would you be so kind as to retrieve the...outfit I had in mind?"
Felix nodded and jogged off towards the Blue Lions' camp, his footsteps kicking up small clouds of dust as he went. Dimitri's grin only grew wider as he watched Felix disappear from view, his eyes sparkling with mischief. Edelgard's face, on the other hand, grew increasingly pale, her eyes flashing with indignation as she realized the extent of Dimitri's plan.
A few moments later, Felix returned, a bright blue garment draped over his arm. The fabric was a garish, eye-searing blue, and it seemed to glow with an otherworldly intensity in the sunlight.
Edelgard's eyes widened in shock as she took in the sight of the garish outfit. "You expect me to wear that?" she asked, her voice tinged with disbelief.
Dimitri's smile only widened. "Of course, Edelgard. It wouldn't be fair if I didn't follow through on my promise, now would it?"
Edelgard glared at him, but Dimitri's grin didn't falter. "Now, before you get too upset, let's discuss one final detail," he said, his voice dripping with faux sympathy. "I think it would be most appropriate if you wore the outfit for the duration of the week, in all activities within the academy. That includes classes, meals, and even your duties as a house leader," he added, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
Edelgard's eyes widened in horror as she realized the extent of Dimitri's plan. She could feel her face burning with embarrassment at the prospect of donning the garish outfit in front of the entire academy. She shifted uncomfortably, her eyes darting to the offending garment, which Felix still held outstretched. The bright blue fabric seemed to mock her, its very existence a constant reminder of her defeat.
Edelgard's face twisted in a scowl as she reluctantly nodded her head, her pride grudgingly submitting to the terms of the bet. "Fine," she spat, her voice venomous. "I'll wear the...thing." Her eyes flashed with anger as she snatched the garment from Felix's outstretched arm, the bright blue fabric fluttering in the breeze like a banner of humiliation. Dimitri's grin only grew wider, his eyes sparkling with triumph as he watched Edelgard's dignity crumble. "Excellent," he purred, his voice dripping with satisfaction. "I knew you'd see it my way, Edelgard."
