no, Elsie needed the bathroom

"I hope we aren't late now.." said Quin as they walked to the lesson, Elsie had made them stop to use the bathroom before class.. for some reason she wanted Quin to wait outside for her and now they were both running late! Quin and Elsie reached the lesson and hurried though the door too see everyone staring at them

"you are late.." said the teacher "I should expect nothing less of you Elsie, I don't think you have ever been on time to my lessons.. and you new boy.. I knew you were gonna be trouble.." Quin didn't understand why she was being so rude..

"sorry miss, we were ju-" started Elsie

"no excuses! speak one more time and you will be punished! now go sit down both of you!"

Elsie headed to her seat at the back of the class and Quin followed, it seemed the tabled were laid out so that you would have 2 people per table, Elsie sat down in her seat and Quin sat down in the empty seat next to her, Elsie's face looked very happy at Quin choosing to sit next to her.

the lesson went quietly for a bit, Quin was trying to focus but every once in a while Elsie would poke him and ask him a question Quin tried to tell her to stop but this drew the attention of the teacher.

"you 2.. at the back.. that is the second time you have interrupted now.. both of you come to the front right now" said the teacher looking pissed.

"but miss.. it was my fault really-" Elsie tried to say but interrupted

"I don't care Elsie! get up now both of you!" the teacher yelled, Quin and Elsie rushed to the front of class.

"but miss! I am trying to tell you!-" Elsie kept trying to speak despite the warnings.. she was really making things worse for herself

"that's it.. both of you stand outside!" yelled the teacher

"wait what did i-" started Quin

"OUT!!" Quin and Elsie hurried outside.. once they were outside Quin turned to Elsie

"what's her problem?...." asked Quin

"she has a very short temper.. and she hates me because I always turn up late... oh and people say she hates men so that might be why she doesn't like you.." said Elsie

"welp.. nothing I can do about that.." Quin was going to hate English class he knew it already..

the teacher suddenly came out the door and closed it behind her, she yelled at Quin and Elsie about how rude and interruptive they were and how lucky they were that she wasn't going to take this further, Elsie and Quin both said sorry and went back inside and sat down.

Quin couldn't quite figure out what but.. something felt strange when he sat down..
