next to the beach

Next to Petalburg City was the beach. It was a calm and peacefull place when it wasn't packed with people swimming or taking a sunbath. In summer that place was hell. But right now Celeste found a beatifull spot to watch the sun slowly fall behind the sea adding an orange tone the the little camp She and Olivia had put up. She used a lighter she had in her bag for that kind of moment to lit a fire and start "cooking" some berries. Olivia watched the ocean during that time.

"-It won't be some great cooking sorry. At least it will be warm. You like cooked berries right?"

Olivia turned her head toward Celeste and smiled. Celeste was happy her first pokemon didn't reject her like her dad's pokemon used to when he trained her back in the days.

"-You know... i'm glad i got you out of the three. I feel like taking treecko would have been a bad idea. And if i remeber what the poster in the lab said the last one was torchic is that it? Well... you get what i mean. I'm just glad you're with me. And i sure hope we get through all this together."

Olivia slightly laughted as Celeste talked about treecko and rolled her eyes when torchic was mensionned. When Celeste was done talking she lifted her left paw in a thumb up motion. Celeste replicated the motion before taking the berries out of her improvised grill.

"Here we go! Cooked berries for two!"

Celeste handed Olivia her rather plain meal. 3 oran berries and 1 pecha berry each. She took it and looked at her trainer disapointed.

"-Yeah i know. Tommorrow we're gonna fight and hopefully find someone to travel with. And we'll fight someone to get some money to eat."

Celeste ate her berries in a few bites before drinking a glass of water. Olivia slowly ate the berries. Trying to get as much taste as she could out of the tiny burnt berries. Once she was done she waved at Celeste and entered the tent to get some well deserved sleep.

"Oh! yeah right.... maybe you don't want to stay in your pokeball all the time. I didn't thought of that. Good night Olivia
-Mudkip!"

Celeste took a box of cigarettes out of her bag and lit one on the fire before putting it out. She then walked away from the tent to smoke. She wondered how tommorrow was gonna be and quickly returned to the present where just started feeling good about this adventure. For once she wasn't hating this place and the people she was with. She took out her pokenav. Her dad might not be the best, at least as a gym leader he got to give her a pokenav last year. She looked at the online price for some of the features. After some research she decided to take the free "contest stats" app and faved "EVs workout" and "Beta Poke-translator" apps.

"-1599 pokedollars for the ev workout might be good on the long run but DAMN 599 999 999 pokedollars for a Beta version is disgusting. Maybe when i'm League champion i'll be able to buy it.."

She sighted and took a last breath on her cigarette before putting it out and throwing the butt in her pocket ashtray. She took a moment to just appreciate the soft wind that blew on the beach. A loud pokemon fighting sound came from the city and ruined the scenery for a moment but the battle seemed to end pretty quickly. Celeste's pokedex beeped as the message "Olivia is now sleeping. Compilating bonding information of the day..." showed up. After a minute of waiting the pokedex showed "Olivia seems to like you a bit." and turned off.

"-As if i couldn't tell."

Celeste closed it and walked to her tent where she carefully entered. Took off her shoes outside, cleaned them, and then placed them inside before closing the tent. She undressed into her panties and bra before rolling into her sleeping bag. Olivia snored pretty loudly as Celeste tried to sleep. She cursed her pokemon for being lousy when she sleeps but drifted into sleep quickly.

Next morning Celeste woke up around 9 in the morning. She looked around, silently dressed back up and headed out. Olivia was still sleeping. And snoring loudly. But it was no big deal for Celeste as she started setting up the lunch. About half an hour later Olivia woke up and walked out of the tent.

"Hey there! Wanna eat something"

Olivia waved and shaked her paw in front of her face out of disgust.

"Oh? yeah... that.. well i try not to but sometimes....i'll try to get the sent away when i can."

Olivia looked at Celeste a bit disapointed but overall it didn't mattered. They both sat together as Celeste waited for her to wake up before eating. This time Celeste was prepared, she got a bag of bread at her home yesterday and a jar of rindo berry jam.

"Guess what. It's sweet, homemade and usefull! And it'll reduce your weakness to grass types for a day!"

The mudkip looked at the jar of jam, frowned and tasted a bit via her paw. She was visibly perturbed by the taste but not disgusted. She settled for a lunch. After that meal they took back the tent in Celeste's bag and prepared for today.
