When Harry's name shoots out of the Goblet of Fire at Hogwarts the Potter family Goblin Account Manager gets a notice on his ledger. As a person who was to be chosen to be a Champion and participate int eh TriWizard, now QuadWizard, Tournament had to be of age. Since Harry's name came out of the Goblet even if he was not the person who entered into the Tournament Lady Magic and thus the entire Magical World would now recognize Harr as an adult even though he was only fourteen rather than the normal seventeen years of age.

Bonecrusher, the Potter Account Manager, wrote a letter to his client to inform him that he was now an adult.

Dear Lord Harry Potter,

While we at the bank know you did not put your name in the Goblet of Fire, the fact that it came out of the magical artifact means you are now considered an adult. We need you to come to the bank to claim your Lordship of the Houses you control. Since I have no record of you doing an Inheritance Test with us at Gringotts those House are in order of importance: Peverell, Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Potter by your blood, and the Houses of Slytherin and Gaunt by Rite on Conquest.

As you are still a student if you wish to let someone else take control of your Houses, their artifacts, Vaults, and family magic. You are to have them bring this letter to the bank as a sign that you wish that person to manage your Families until you are ready to take over.

If you have someone stand in as your Steward, no matter what age they are, you will need to take control of your Houses by the normal age of adulthood for your kind, seventeen years of age. If you do not do so we at the bank will take that as you handing over your Houses to the Steward.

P.S. As we have tried numerous times in sending you letters to get you to come into the bank and take your Inheritence Test and have gotten no response the Gringotts Bank Overseer for Europe believes there is a Mail Ward on you preventing you from getting your mail so we have placed a charm on this letter so it will, hopefully, break through the Ward. It is so powerful that only the legendary Elder Wand being the caster of the Ward could prevent the letter from reaching you. Thus we will know that the person who comes to the bank with the letter, you or your representative has your full permission to do so.

Bonecrusher crossing his fingers that the charms broke through the mail ward and was not just returned to the bank unopened passed the letter to a Gringotts messenger bird, a Raven, and set it loose.
