You finish the paperwork and turn for the door. She holds your hand and pulls you back to her, kissing your forehead sweetly.
“Don’t waste your strength, little man,” she assures, picking you up in her arms and turning her upper body to rest you on her strong back. “You get a pony ride today. Every day, if you‘re good,” she giggled. “And if you don’t leave me too pleased to walk, that is.”

You laugh and pat her head. “I’ll do what I can. You’re a lot of woman to please, so I guess I’ll have to give you a hundred percent.”
“If you can fit that much in, go ahead,” she grins back at you, her upper body able to turn almost entirely around so she can easily talk to you.

She strides quicker than you would with her strong, sturdy legs, reaching outside and standing there, soaking the sunlight into her white fur in a way that catches it wonderfully.

“You up for a walk?” she offers.
“You mean a ride?”
“Right on. You can tell me a little about yourself on the way while I see what it‘s like out here.”
