He had always been a person with little intelligence like his mom. And like her they always somehow ended up in a situation that embarrassed them. He was always dropping things or unintendedly making a dirty joke though double meanings which he only caught once he said things. His mother told him on many occasions that he inherited her bad luck. Many people at school had mocked him for this, only Lucy understood him.

So he thought that if he was just as kind and understandable as her, he would understand why hisbullies and strangers came to make fun of him. So h decided to write "I am the kindest and most understanding person in the world" but he wasn't sure if it worked.
