going slowly, step by step

"Let's take some time to see what's changed first," Tom suggested, thinking some caution was in order.

Sarah went "Ugh!' in frustration. "Sure, okay, but let's hurry up," she said in an impatient tone.

Tom walked through their home and saw very few changes, mostly in any pictures of the two of them. All the pictures - wedding potraits, vacation pics, etc. - showed the new Sarah, but she was nearly always "dressed to a T", with clothing, style and makeup designed to make her appear much more professional. In the few more candid shots, such as at a pool or beach, he could easily have mistaken her for his daughter.

"Well, things seem mostly the same," Tom concluded. "But what did you want to do next? Sarah?" he prompted, seeing that she was distracted by her appearance in the mirror.

"Hmm?" Her expression changed to one of wonder and amazement.. "I just realized that it's good you made the wish about my personality staying the same and keeping my old memories. My 'new' memories tell me that I always HATED being mistaken for being so young. It drove me crazy. That's kinda hot - remembering feeling that way but wanting to be treated that way now!"

She continued: "You know that Teresa's wedding a few years ago - when I was a bridesmaid?" Tom nodded. "Well, in this life when I was getting my hair & nails done, the women at the salon just assumed I was much younger. They were so friendly chatting, asking me I was getting ready for the prom. I was totally embarrassed. I couldn't get the courage to correct them! And when she saw you waiting outside for me, she guessed you were my dad. Even asked if you were single! I was completely mortified... but at the same time, a part of me was just a little turned on by the humiliation - and by fooling them all, even unintentionally. I didn't correct them and just played along." She finished her story looking overjoyed, caught up in the mixture of emotions and conflict between her desire and new memories.

She shivered with delight. "Oh well, let's move this along. I was thinking of jumping straight to the good part. Making a wish that would have your new girlfriend moving in, so I'd have to start tonight listening to you have sex. Maybe even watching!" she said with a sparkle in her eyes. "I was thinking maybe Janet Baker? You know she's just your type..." she teased.

Tom considered her suggestion. Janet was the manager of another department at his firm and he had, in fact, always had an eye for eye - not that he had ever seriously considered cheating on Sarah!. Janet was just a few years younger, in her mid-30s, but she was smart and attractive. He was surprised she was single, but he'd heard she was still recovering from a nasty divorce, and so careful about dating. Still, they seemed to have a very cordial relationship at work, maybe even a friendship.

He nodded. "You think the coin can change other things that much? It's supposed to change you?" he pointed out.

"I think it's worth trying. After all, this is all about a change to MY life. It just so happens to affect yours and hers too," she answered with a mischevious grin.

Tom was growing less and less thrilled at this prospect. Sarah's new appearance frankly did nothing for him - and while sleeping with another woman still had an attraction, he didn't feel any particular desire to do it to humiliate Sarah. This was starting to seem like alot of effort for little payoff.

Sarah was always skilled at reading Tom's emotions, and she must have seen the hesitation in his face. "Is this a problem for you Tom?" she asked. "I want you to enjoy this too...." she paused, then her eyes lit up. "I know, we can make a wish that will get you into all this as well."
