Tom makes a wish

Tom breathed a sigh of relief at the out she provided. "A timer... maybe one month?" he offered.

She responded with that look of disdain that only a teen can master. "Ugh, hardly. Six."

"What? No, no... how about three," he countered. She gave a triumphant grin. "Deal. Now let's do it."

Tom felt he had just been neatly maneuvered into something, but she began pressing him so hard to make the wish that he didn't have time to process it all. Holding up the coin, he floundered as he tried to word something appropriate. 'Dominant,' he said to himself, 'I'll try...'
