friends in low places

when becky arrived at smack down she was very quiet.

normally becky was laughing and smiling so it seemed out of place for her to be so quiet.

charlotte was worried so she went to talk to her.

becky was sitting around waiting for her match.

"hey becky. can we talk?"

"what?' becky barely whispered.

charlotte frowned and sat beside her.

"are you ok?"

"I'm fine."

charlotte frowned.

"you don't LOOK fine."

becky just shook her head.

"what difference does it make?"

"ok becky whats going on?" charlotte asked.

this wasnt like becky at all.

becky just looked at her and burst into tears.

"I don't know what ta do charlotte!"

"about what becky?" charlotte said gently as she drew her into a hug.

charlotte held becky tightly and rubbed her arm.

"what happened?"

"I messed up charlotte!" becky sobbed.

"I messed up bad!"

slowly becky told charlotte the truth.

charlotte pulled back and looked her in the eye.

"wait what? you're joking. right?"

becky shook her head.

charlotte was confused.

"you and sasha- I-...never knew you two felt that way about each other. I mean sasha's MARRIED so I assumed-"

"we DON'T feel that way, but it happened ok?," becky told her watching for any sign of sasha or bayley.

"an' I'm not supposed to tell ANYONE. if she finds out I told..."
"she won't hear it from me." charlotte promised.

"but I don't understand how it happend." Charlotte said gently.

"it was just a one time thing!" becky sniffed,"but sasha and bayley taped it and NOW they want to black mail me into a title match!"

"BAYLEY is involved in this too?"

charlotte shook her head and sighed.

"oh becky this is a MESS you have gotten yourself into. and I dont know how to help you."

"just stand by me charlotte." becky whispered. "please."

charlotte hugged her friend reassuringly.

"of course becky. whatever you need."

as she walks away it occurs to charlotte that in becky's weakened state she could easily challenge becky and win the title (not that charlotte NEEDED the handicap. she IS the queen of the wwe and the best in the business after all.)

but at one time becky was charlotte's best friend.

charlotte glanced back at becky, saw her trying mightily to get ready for her match against sasha but stopped to rub her eyes,likely crying again.

charlotte looks back and makes her choice.
