first wish

The soldier pondered his options. He'd seen and read too many stories of wishes gone awry, so he makes his first wish.

"I wish that all of my wishes go exactly as I want them to," he said confidently.

"Brilliant," said the genie. "I think that's the smartest wish I've ever heard. Done," she says as she nodded. "You have two wishes left."

The soldier thought. What does he want? The power to stop time like in the movie "Click," the power to make people obey him, invisibility, riches, celebrity, fame, what? The world was his oyster.

"For my second wish, I want...."
