draw straws

As the four of us are sitting around the table I'm stareing at my muffin trying to think of a way to spend the day with the girls equally. I look around the table and take in the site before me, Gizzy finally came down and is now blearaly sipping on a coffe with ALOT of sugar, Mam and teddy are reading the funnys and Wykkyd is nibbleing on a blueberry muffin while stealing glances towards me.

"So... are you girls settleing in ok?" Wykkyd nods and smiles slightly to me, Gizzy grunts and Mam puts down the comics. "Oh yeah Boss! This place is great!" Her face turns pink from embarasement. "...Your great too.." Wykkyd nods in agreement. Mam elbows Gizzy slightly. "Comeon Gizz, Say somethin nice!" Gizzy Rears back. "Why should I!?" She looks down at the table and her cheeks turn a dark crimson. "....He knows how I feel about him..."

Gizzy quickly redirects the conversation. "So skaz, what are we gunna do today anyway? I still wanna see how good you are at video games..." Mam buts in "Hey! I want to play with John too! Kowing your video game marathons I'll NEVER get my chance!" While Mam and Gizzy argued I looked over at Wykkyd and the look she gave me almost broke my heart.

She wanted to play with me aswell but being mute she had no voice to add to the arguement. Suddenly an idea came into my head. (Snap!) "Thats it!!" I yelp after snaping my fingers. The girls stop there argument and look at me. "What the heck are you going on about!?" Gizzy asks. Insted of answering her I run to a drawer rummiging around I come out with a small dry erase board and a marker.

I walk back to the table and hand it to a confused Wykkyd. "I-its kinda old but... I thought you could...you know, write your thoughts and feelings out on it." I start to feel like an idiot but before I can say or do anything Wykkyd Hugs the board to her chest and then starts writeing on it. "What do you think she'll say?" Gizzy asks nobody.

Wykkyd suddenly thrusts the board out to us. (In her words) "I LOVE IT!!!! Well..not as much as I love you John." Little hearts are drawn next to my name. I chuckle nervously for a few seconds. Wykkyd quickly erases the message and writes another before showing us the board again. "Listen guys, We all love John. So instead of argueing about who should get to do what, We SHOULD just think of a way to share him."

Mam and Gizzy both look at eachother. "Why didnt I think of that?" Gizzy mumbles as she scratches the back of her head. "It IS a good Idea." Mam adds in agreement.

"Do you have anything in mind Wykkyd?" I ask As I take a sip of My orange juice. She taps the pen to her chin for a second before scribbleing something out on her board. She shows us the board again. "We'll draw straws to determin the order of who gets to play with John first, Lunch and dinner will be neutral ground." Mam raises her hand. "Um whats N-e-u-t-r-a-l ground mean?"

I chuckle abit at her spelling out the word she dosent understand. "Well Mam, it means we'll all eat together." She brightens up. "Oh! That sounds great, I like eating together, its like where a family."
