Rogue fell through the hole for a little while before finally reaching the bottom and finding herself alone in a small forest. Which, considering she could still see the roof and the walls ruled out being sent outside, meant she was either in some kind of lab or a room set up specifically to be used for a specific mutant's power.

The question of which was right was quickly answered for her when the branches on the tree next to her tried to grab her; luckily, Rogue managed to roll away from the attempt at being grabbed. Well, great, Rogue thought. From the fact a tree had just formed a hand and tried to grab her, that meant she was alone in the room with Ramrod, whose power was to grow and manipulate wood.

So she was in a great place to be fighting him in a small indoor forest with all the wood he could want. To make matters worse for her, he had decided to keep his distance as well as keep most of the lights turned off, leaving the room in darkness, mostly with a few lights acting as beacons to guide both of them around the room. His plan was a smart one considering one touch from her and the fight was over, but that meant she had to wonder around these little woods looking for him; the trees were actively going to try and get her.

So Rogue began to quickly maneuver her way into a spot with as much distance between trees as possible, hoping to give herself ample time to react to anything Ramrod tried. She found herself a good spot, which was a small clearing in between several trees, hoping it was natural as she was taking up position and not some elaborate trap set up for her before hand.

Just as she thought about a possible pre-set trap for herself, dozens of roots shot out of the ground, wrapping them around her, trying to bring her down. Luckily, Rogue acted quickly, using a combination of experience, training, and pure instinct, and was able to use her flying ability and super-strength power to keep her footing and tear out the roots wrapping around her rather than be brought to the ground.

"Once again, gaining Mrs. Marvel's powers permanently comes in handy." Rogue said with a happy smirk plastered across her face. She quickly removed the roots left on her body, tossing them as far across the room as she could. Just after that, she heard a loud banging sound and the sound of someone falling with a few muffled curses for emphasis.

Rogue, using her years of training under Logan, or as a normal person would view it, hiding from the crazy person who's hunting, you quickly pinpointed the source of all the noise. It was Ramrod who had given up his location as he gave into his frustrations, seeing as he was holding his foot in pain, clearly having kicked a tree from feeling frustrated at his failed trap. Though he had somehow triped himself up, kicking the tree, and now Rogue knew exactly where he was.

Rogue's face quickly turned predatory as she took to flying through the treeline to close the distance with Ramrod, who, upon seeing Rogue closing in on him, began using his powers to change the trees into a sea of gripping and clawing hands. Sadily for Ramrod, this was only delaying the invadable, as with her super strength, Rogue could just bash through his wooden constructs.

Ramrod needed to use surprise to win, as he could use surprise to put her into an award position where her strength wouldn't be a factor. Sadly, that opportunity is lost to him now. So the fight was effectively over; the only real question to be asked now is how long it will take Rogue to reach Ramrod, and the second question is:.

Will she send him off to dreamland with but a single touch, or will she punch him in the face if she feels particularly annoyed by the time she gets to him? As Ramrod found Rogue getting closer and closer to him despite his best efforts, he found the answer to the second question of great concern to him.
