chapter 5 - Tough decisions

The yacht docked at a rundown pier on the island's leeward side, the humid night air thick with salt and decay. Marcus, his massive frame casting long shadows under the floodlights, barked orders at his crew. 'Separate the women from the families. Lisa and Siri—they're carrying our legacy in their bellies now. No risks with those sniveling husbands or the kid. Lock 'em up in the hotel nearby, away from the others.' His men nodded, dragging Jack, Mike, and Amy toward a guarded warehouse, their protests echoing into the darkness. Lisa and Siri, wrists bound, were shoved into a jeep, the engine rumbling as it sped to a decrepit hotel perched on the cliffs—once a tourist spot, now a fortified lair for the gang.

They were herded into a single room on the second floor: windowless, the air stale and oppressive, lit by a single bare bulb. A massive king-sized bed dominated the space, sheets rumpled and stained, with an attached bathroom door ajar, revealing a grimy sink and shower. The lock clicked shut behind them, sealing their isolation. Lisa and Siri collapsed onto the bed, their bikini-clad bodies trembling, faces etched with raw depression. The confirmation from the tests hung heavy—pregnant, not by their husbands, but by the monsters who'd violated them. Lisa's hand instinctively rested on her abdomen, feeling the faint, unwelcome warmth; Siri's eyes welled up, staring at the floor.

Siri broke first, a sob escaping. 'It's real, Lisa. I'm... we're knocked up by them. Mike will never forgive me.' Lisa, fighting her own despair, **** a gentle smile, scooting closer. She couldn't let the darkness swallow them both—not yet. 'Hey, Siri, come on. We've got each other. Let's... let's talk about something good. Our love stories. Remember the happy times? It'll take our minds off this shit.' Siri wiped her eyes, nodding weakly, grasping at the distraction.

Lisa leaned back against the headboard, her voice soft as she began. 'Jack and I met in college, freshman year. He was this goofy engineering major, always buried in books, but with the cutest smile. We bumped into each other at a party—literally. I spilled beer on his shirt, and he just laughed, said it was the best thing that happened all night. We talked for hours, danced like idiots. Things heated up fast; by the end of the semester, we were inseparable. Sex was... intense. He took me in his dorm one night, slow at first, then pounding me against the wall until I came screaming. But before we married, I got pregnant with Amy. Scared the hell out of us, but Jack stepped up. Said he'd love me and our kid no matter what. We tied the knot quick, and Amy's been our little miracle ever since.'

Siri's lips curved into a faint smile, the memory pulling her from the abyss. She hugged her knees, her voice gaining a touch of warmth. 'Mike and I... childhood friends, since we were kids in the same neighborhood. Ten years of this sweet, slow-burn love. He'd bring me wildflowers from the park, we'd sneak out for ice cream runs at midnight. Our first kiss was under the stars at summer camp—he was so nervous, stammered through it. We dated through high school, college... he waited for me, always respectful. Saved everything for marriage, you know? Picnics, movie marathons, him holding my hand during storms. It was pure, Lisa—like a fairy tale. I thought we'd have this perfect life, kids of our own someday.'

The room fell quiet, the stories a brief oasis. Then, a scrape at the door—something slid under from the hallway. The pregnancy tests, those damning pink lines glaring up from the floor. Marcus's voice boomed through the wood, mocking and low. 'Heard your little love tales, sluts. Real touching. Enjoy the proof of your new realities—our babies baking in those wombs.' Laughter faded as his footsteps retreated.

Siri's face crumpled again, depression crashing back like a wave. She snatched up the test, staring at it before pressing a hand to her belly, fingers splaying over the flat plane. 'I saved my virginity for Mike... waited all those years, dreaming of our wedding night. But that monster Theo ripped it away, shoved his wrinkled old cock into me, tore me open and filled me with his filth. Now I'm carrying his devil inside me. This... thing growing because of him.' Tears streamed down her cheeks, her body shaking.

Lisa stood, drawn to the full-length mirror on the wall, opposite the bed. She lifted her bikini top slightly, exposing her midriff, and placed both hands on her stomach, tracing the skin. The reflection showed a woman marked by violation—bruises fading, but the invisible burden swelling within. 'Yes... we're carrying these monsters' children now. Marcus's seed in me, Theo's in you. It's fucked, Siri, but we can't let it break us. We have to survive this—escape the island somehow, as soon as possible. Once we're on the mainland, we get abortions. End it all, start over.'

Siri looked up, her expression a mix of sorrow and grim resolve, hand still cradling her belly. 'So... we have to kill the babies now,' she whispered, voice cracking with sadness, the weight of the choice etching deeper lines on her young face.
