chapter 2 - starting to settle in

Quin could not sleep, he had been lying in bed for hours now with his eyes shut but he could not fall asleep no matter how hard he tried... he tried listening to music to help him sleep but even that did not help like it normally did, eventually Quin gave up trying and sat up in his bed, after looking around for a moment he noticed something odd... Lily's bed was empty!

"how did she even leave the room without me noticing..." Quin thought to himself, and where could she be at this hour? it was past midnight! if anyone saw her out at this time, she would be in deep trouble... Quin decided he should go looking for her and stepped out of bed, he put on some shorts and a t-shirt, grabbed his key and shoes and stepped out of the door

as Quin stepped into the hallway, he noticed how quiet it was compared to normal... it was almost creepy to him seeing the place this abandoned... Quin started walking down the hall which filled the hallway with the sound of his footsteps, and he begged to God that nobody would hear him, he did not want to be punished for this.
