What's next?
ch2
Two weeks had passed, and I had already started to get used to my college life. My schedule had been crazy up until then, and it had only been a few days since I’d met my roommate.
She was a blonde with thick plastic-framed glasses—a bit of a loner. Her lips and breasts were so big that I was left speechless!
I was running while thinking about my roommate. Since I had the day off today, Brenda had gotten in touch with me to apologize for what happened last time. She’d invited me to a famous café on campus.
I was running late; I’d been so busy catching up that I’d completely forgotten. When I arrived at the café, Brenda was waiting, leaning casually against a brick wall. She was wearing tight jeans that hugged her thighs and a red tank top.
Nothing seemed out of place, really. But with Brenda’s toned body and her large breasts, it looked like something was about to burst!
“Hey, Brenda, sorry I’m late. I woke up late and was busy and…” — “Wow, Kelly, calm down. It’s okay, babe. I get it, you know? I’ve been through that too! Besides, I just got here! Come on, let’s go inside and reserve a table.”
I breathed a sigh of relief. Brenda had always known how to calm people down. We both went inside and sat in a corner of the café. While I ordered a sugary milkshake like we used to do, Brenda decided to order black coffee.
“I thought you hated coffee,” I said as the waitress went to take our order. Brenda seemed surprised by my question; just like last time, her eyes scanned an imaginary text in the air as she answered me.
“I used to hate it—I could only stand it with milk... but Logan, one of the guys from the other time, loves it, and it seems I picked up a taste for it by osmosis... Oh well, people change,” she said convincingly, though it left a strange taste in my mouth.
“By the way, who were those guys?” I asked, intrigued. Brenda wasn’t the kind of girl who only had male friends. In general, she’d always had more female friends than male ones. “Well, I met them because David had a study group where he helped the new students catch up.
Then David introduced me to the rest, and the rest is history.” Although her expression was neutral, I could detect a hint of irony in her voice. “Ohhh, okay, and are they all guys?” — “Oh my gosh, no! There are girls, too—one of these days I’ll introduce you to them ~” she said, almost laughing, like a real-life Meang.
“Oh, getting back to the topic, who is David?” I said, ignoring her last laugh. “Oh my gosh, you have to meet David! He's so charming, and oh look what he taught me to do!” Brenda started excitedly showing me photos on her cell phone. It was unusual for her to talk like that about anything, let alone someone. “You... you dress up?” I said the moment I saw the photos.
Brenda was wearing a blue leotard that left nothing to the imagination, with a few scuffed spots, and what looked like a very expensive blonde wig with a ponytail. “I do cosplay,” she said dryly.
“Sorry, Brenda, I didn’t mean to offend you. But doesn’t that seem a little tight? Did David force you to do this or something?” — “Stop, stop, stop! I told you, David is such a sweetheart! Besides, I’ve always liked video games—remember?! This is just another side of the community! And…”
she said vehemently and quickly, as if defending something of life-or-death importance to her. “There’s nothing wrong with exploring other sides of myself, is there?! People change, Kell,”
she said just as our order arrived. We both took sips of our drinks while a tense silence hung over us.
While Brenda seemed to be looking away, I asked an innocent question. “Hey, Brenda, what’s wrong with your eyes?”
Brenda’s eyes were naturally dark brown, so I was a little surprised to see them with a dark bluish tint and dilated pupils. These were details I’d overlooked while I was absorbed in the conversation.
Brenda was snapped out of her daydream and seemed nervous. “Oh, uh,” she said, her mouth opening and closing as she tried to form the words.
“Contact… lenses,” she said slowly. “Over your glasses?” I asked, puzzled by the situation. Brenda quickly recovered. “It drives the guys crazy! It’s the new trend—David told me! Yeah. Don’t worry, there’s no prescription—nothing will happen,” she said as she changed the subject.
Although I tried to press the issue a couple of times, I eventually let it go and talked about mundane topics until it was time to leave the café.
I’d been feeling a little restless all day after meeting with Brenda. As I lay in my half of the bunk bed, racking my brain, I decided to go for a walk to try to clear my head. I quickly changed into something comfortable, told my roommate I was going out, and started walking aimlessly through the deserted campus at night.
The cold night breeze blew against me as I watched the straggling students heading back to their dorms. With the calm weather, my mind slowly began to analyze the day’s events.
The reason for my uneasiness was obviously my friend Brenda. My instinct screamed that something wasn’t right with her. Small details—which might have seemed insignificant to others—didn’t go unnoticed by me. After all, I’d known her for a long time.
There was something about her that wasn’t like her at all. Something wrong on an… intangible level.
I shook my head gently and shook my head. I felt that something was wrong, but it was just a feeling. As I walked, I found a hidden corner in a square far from the women’s dorms. The light from the streetlamps barely touched this small clearing hidden among a large tree.
Sitting there, where the yellow streetlight didn’t reach, I began to calm down and clear my head. The soft chirping of insects and the sound of the grass rustling in the breeze allowed my mind to focus on something else.
I stayed there for quite a while, coming to the conclusion that maybe I was seeing patterns where there weren’t any. People change, don’t they? Brenda herself had said it several times. And maybe it was true...
That thought calmed me down. Maybe I’d change myself now that I’d started college, so I shouldn’t be getting so worked up.
As I was getting ready to leave, the sound of approaching footsteps—well, to be more precise, the sound of high heels clacking against the ground—roused me from my daydream. Looking for the source of the sound, I saw something that made me wonder if my mind had gone on a sabbatical.
Brenda was walking toward the center of the plaza with a grace befitting a Victoria’s Secret model. On her feet she wore tall black stiletto heels laced up to her knees and a short trench coat.
Brenda didn’t seem to notice my presence because of the dim lighting. My mind hadn’t quite processed what was happening when Brenda took off her trench coat, standing completely naked in the square. As I felt my mouth slowly fall open, I watched Brenda strut across the square while soft puffs of smoke escaped from her mouth.
Her toned body and large breasts, with nipples hard as rock, bounced freely in the middle of the night, faintly illuminated by the old streetlights.
Brenda strolled through the square, almost dancing, for what felt like several long minutes to me. My mind, which couldn’t comprehend what was happening, was tempted to jump out and confront Brenda when a male voice came out of nowhere.
“Hey! Logan!” he shouted in a loud voice that echoed across the plaza. Brenda and I turned to see where the voice was coming from. Brenda, who had quickly started to cover herself up, stopped when she realized who it was. “Damn it, Mike! You almost gave me a heart attack,” she shouted, annoyed.
The figure was starting to approach. I recognized him as one of the guys Brenda had gone out with last week.
“What are you doing here, Logan? You know the rules,” Mike said calmly, his hands tucked into his pockets. “How… did you know that…?” Brenda stammered as the cold breeze hit her full force.
“Oh, come on, Logan. I know you—aren’t we friends, after all? … Besides, James had heard some rumors about a pervert in his third year of law school, so he sent me to check it out,” Mike said, enjoying Brenda’s reaction. He could hear their conversation perfectly because of the silence of the night.
“Damn it, I don’t know why we have so much power if we can’t have fun however we want with these puppets.”—“Well, I’m not the one who wrote the rules, little Logan, but you know I have to report you to James, right? Unless…”
Brenda had started putting on her trench coat. “Asian duo?”—“Bingo!~” They both started to leave while “Mike” put his arm around Brenda.
“That’s fine, although I don’t think Mei is free tonight…” — “Don’t worry, I already talked to Brad and…” Little by little, the sound of their voices faded away, leaving me in the same frozen position I’d been in for a while.
Why on earth was Brenda letting them call her Logan? What was all that voyeuristic spectacle about!? Doubts swirled in my head. Something was going on, and it wasn’t a normal change. Maybe… my friend was in danger
