adjusting to her senses
I let out a breath as I swung my broom. mid swing I felt an intense burst of sadness from somewhere out of the castle. this caused me to lose focus and send the wave of wind off to the left. "Dammit," I said.
"What was it this time," asked Atalante. she let loose an arrow hitting the bullseye of the target. I give her a small glare for that.
"Some strong sadness from outside the castle. most likely someone breaking up with their partner," I said annoyed. it had been two weeks since I had tamed the fox, but the emotional sense was still throwing me off. I could just leave it off, but I felt it was too useful of a tool to not use.
"You are getting better," she said. "In the beginning a maid enjoying her day would throw you off," she said.
"Yeah," I said. "And I don't want to just ignore intense emotions. it could be a good way to be warned of an attack."
"True," said Atalante. "But getting distracted could lead to you being hurt or worse."
"I know that" I said with an air of frustration. "I am just not sure what to do about it."
"I may have an idea," Levy said as she walked into the training ground.
