Zombie Apocalypse.

It was believed to start with an outbreak in China. Millions had become infected in a few days with what seemed like flu-like symptoms. Unfortunately, for the rest of the modern world, China had manufactured and produced many of their products. The flu-like symptoms spread through airports and docks all over the world. Hospitals were crowded by the sick.

The governments of the world didn't take it as seriously as it turned out, though quarantines and standard epidemic procedures had been in place. The Chinese flu, as they called it, had appeared not to be lethal, and many of the believed cured sick were sent home after weeks when their symptoms disappeared.

It was then it happened — a triggering. China had been shut off first from the rest of the world when attacks started. People who were sick and then got better were found in their homes dead. While hospitals and police investigated, they would soon discover the dead of the first wave of people who got sick reanimated and trying to bite and tear at the living's flesh. It wasn't long before the rest of the world was in full meltdown. Airports in the lock, hospitals now overrun with the living dead, governments in meltdown and collapse, military personnel swarmed by the hordes of living dead.

During all of it, I sat in my immense shelter watching the news. I have created a radio signal and a beacon to draw followers to my shelter. I have sent signals and requests to all the people in your life and some others that you wanted to come here.

The first visitors arrive — the comms flashing signaling I had guests at my vault door.
