Who Does Kenny Talk To First? How Does Eric And Zoey's Conversation Go?
Zoey Doesn't Want A Conversation
The busty redhead made her way up the stairs a bit slowly, not wanting to stretch any tender area by accident, though to her chagrin Eric was following her step for step. He wasn't saying much, occasionally calling her name before stopping and trying to put together something in his head. Zoey felt she knew what was happening, and a large part of her didn't care. The redhead didn't even want to grant Eric an emotional reaction, as much as it was odd for her to feel so cold to a person, she just didn't care anymore. Talking things through with Kenny and then being with Kenny, it put things in perspective for the girl. The hard truth was, Eric Roosevelt never felt much for her in the first place.
As Zoey got to the second floor, she tried to pick up speed, heading towards the hallway bathroom as quickly as she could. Even if at her core she wanted to get away from Eric, another part of her was genuinely in need of a bath. Not only did she want to relax and destress, but Kenny had also left quite a mess inside her, and that needed to be cleaned up as well, lest someone find out and start talking. Just as she reached the bathroom door, turning the handle to open the door, Eric reached out and lightly grabbed Zoey's arm, "Hey, can we talk for a minute?" He asked with a near bewildered look,
"Why do you want to talk to me?" Zoey mumbled back as she kept her eyes looking at the ground, "If you're worried about me, I'm fine,"
"Are you sure, it looks like you were limping," Eric noted as he let go of her arm, happy to have her say something to him finally,
Zoey wet her lips and toyed with the idea of telling him the truth, "I...twisted my ankle, Kenny helped me walk back here," Zoey muttered back, "I wouldn't have made it through the night without him,"
Eric swallowed a little hard, "Uh...yeah, Kenny's a good guy, I'm glad he was there to keep you safe,"
"Me too," She mumbled while furrowing her brow, internally screaming, Maybe you could have been there for me instead, but no, you were with Anna fucking Ross!
"S-So listen, Zoey...I, uh...right, well there's something I sorta need to tell you," Eric nervously said, realizing that saying this now wasn't exactly at the best time, but then again, when would the time ever be right for this conversation?
"You're leaving me for, Anna," Zoey dryly stated, finally looking Eric in the eye, "You still love her, and I'm in the way with you two getting back together," Eric's eyes were wide, and he was unsure how to respond, "I heard you two before we left the lodge, Eric, I'm not fucking dumb. I knew you were going to have feelings for that girl, but I always thought you'd put them aside because of your feelings for me,"
"Zoey..." Eric almost winced back,
"Funny thing is, you never even had feelings for me in the first place," Zoey growled,
"That's not true!" Eric all but exclaimed, "Zoey, you were the first friend I made in Dartwin and the second girl I've ever even dated. I do care about you; I never faked that!"
"But you'll always care for Anna more, because she's got something that I don't," Eric let out a defeated exhale, "And that's okay," Zoey suddenly added on to his shock, "I don't need to be with someone who's just stringing me along and wasting my time that I could use to find someone I'd love and would actually love me back," The girl spat,
"Zoey, please, if you just let me explain this a little-" Eric tried to beg,
"No, there's nothing more to say, Eric. We've handled our business, now please, just leave me be. I...I can't take any more of this right now," Zoey sternly said while walking into the bathroom and shutting the door behind her. Eric took a half step forward only to hear the door click as it was locked, the teen hung his head and let out a long sigh, though he slowly turned and shuffled away from the bathroom.
Inside Zoey braced herself on the sink, letting out a few soft weeps, more upset in herself for being so distant and empty with Eric. It was an awful switch from being nearly in love with him the day before, but Eric just didn't understand. She could see it in the man's eyes and hear it in his voice; he'd never understand how deep he wounded her when he told Anna he still loved her. And the fact that he was trying to justify it to her meant he never would.
Zoey wiped her eyes a few quick times and walked to the bath, running the water until it was a pleasantly warm temperature. As the tub filled up, Zoey carefully pulled off her clothes, sucking in a small breath as she removed her pants and very messy panties. As she stood back up and faced the mirror, she let out a small smile, looking herself over before glancing down at her freshly broken in womanhood. Even in all the uncertainty that surrounded her, Zoey at least was sure of one thing, she officially made one good, lifelong memory this week, and a part of her was curious if she'd make any more.
Where Did Kenny Go?
