Zelda hadn't changed in form, but she seemed different anyway.

After a month of very busy work (A Holodrum nobleman was visiting, which meant more security and more responsibility for Link), he got a message once again for the Princess, letting him know to meet her in the same study as last time whenever it was possible. Things had quieted down by that point, so Link headed over as quickly as he could, and found Zelda at her desk, with even more books lying on it than before. She was digging into an apple with a vigor that surprised Link a little, and her usually immaculate appearance was shaken by unkempt hair and bags under her eyes. "Link, I'm glad to see you," she said, and it struck Link then that she sounded more vibrant and emotive then than she had at any other time he had seen her before, despite her somewhat odd appearance. She took another bite from the apple and, while chewing it, said, "Sorry about the wait, we were both busy with the Duke's visit. Since then, I've dived as deep as I can back into this research."

Link asked her what she had found out so far.

Zelda ran a hands through her hair, thinking. "It's hard to tell, but I think I'm starting to feel the affects of the switch in Triforce pieces. I think it's been delayed because of how long I possessed my own piece, and it's taking some time for my new one to overtake the effects of the other. I've had a lot more energy lately, which has made it difficult to sleep. I've also noticed an increased appetite. That's it for now, I think."

After thinking for a moment, Link asked Zelda if she thought it was time to switch back with Ganondorf yet.

She shook her head immediately. "I can't. I already tried, and it looks like I have to wait for the piece to fully integrate with my body before I can switch back. In the meantime, I've taken to researching our countries history and mythology, maybe see what other secrets I can shake loose." Link yawned, and Zelda smiled fondly at him. "It is getting late, isn't it? You should head to the barracks, Link." He nodded and started to leave, but before he did she grabbed his hand and said, "Wait. It...it was nice seeing you again, Link."
