Chapter 3

Which thread shall we follow?
Zatanna summoned Tim for help with an urgent matter
Tim Drake was having a fairly typical evening. So far he had arrested three typical street thugs- the random committers of **** who he couldn't account for in his plans. The larger gangs in the area were largely quiet tonight. That wasn't just luck. That was because of a three month effort of Tim's to deplete their supply of everyday necessities. The larger, well organized criminal gangs were run much like a business, and that also included buying supplies in bulk. Said bulk shipments were actually pretty easy to trace, and equally easy to tie up in perfectly legal bureaucracy. The end result was that the gangsters of Gotham now were running short of their coffee, candy bars, and toilet paper. It was a pretty effective result, all things considered.
While Tim was up to his usual antics, Zatanna casted a spell to bring him to her.
"Hi. I know this is sudden, but I need your help!"
Tim now stood in Zatanna's backstage, the cast and crew having already left for the day. The raven haired magician held her wand tenaciously, legs clad in fishnets and thigh highs, wearing her button-up shirt and blazer.
Tim looked around, understandably a bit shocked, then put away his grapple gun.
"Uh, hey Zatanna," he said.
"You know you could just call me when you need help. I have a phone after all. What do you need help with? Just so happens I have a free evening."
"Sorry, but this is kinda urgent. I just got word that an ancient mystical artifact was just put on display at Gotham Museum. The Medallion of Tempora. They have no idea what they're dealing with and it's extremely dangerous for that thing to be anywhere near civilization."
Zatanna rambled a little, pacing back and forth.
"You're good with stealth and all that, right? I need you to sneak in there and just... just take it! Bring it back to me and I'll get it to John. We'll seal it away in a pocket dimension. It just-it can't be here in Gotham. Who knows what the rogues would do if they realized the level of power in that medallion..."
"Woah, Zatanna, take a breath."
He'd never seen her so concerned.
"We can solve this. You... need me to steal it? That's not really my style... I mean I can make it happen, I just need to grab a blank uniform or something. Any chance I have time for that? Too bad Selina isn't around right now- museum robberies are kind of her bread and butter."
"Tim, you don't get it! We're all in grave danger while that medallion is in this city. I can't even teleport there, too much mystical interference. Otherwise I would've grabbed the damn thing myself."
When she heard he needed a new costume, she nodded.
"Right, right, can't go around stealing stuff as your hero identity. Not good for press. Here..."
She cleared her throat and waved her wand.
"Mrofsnart mih otni a rebbor."
However, the last image she had in mind was when Tim mentioned Catwoman.
Tim felt a chill.
"Did... you just cast a spell?"
He looked around. And then felt an odd tingling sensation.
"Zee, ask before doing that!" he said.
Too late. His hands were the first thing to change, his gloves darkening in color, the fingertips becoming... pointy?
"...What spell did you use?" he asked, nervous.
Suddenly his gloves tightened with bone crushing ****, his hands compressing to become more slender, his fingers more tapered.
_"AH!" _Tim yelped. He glanced down and recognized the cat-clawed gloves.
"...Oh no."
Zee furrowed her brows, watching curiously.
"I-I casted a spell to make you a robber. I thought it'd be faster than trying to find you a ski mask or something."
Her eyes fell on the points on each of the digits of his gloves. She realized what had happened and swallowed hard, folding her arms awkwardly.
Tim's costume darkened to completely black- a glossy sort of black.
"Please tell me that you can reverse this."
He breathed out hard as the costume tightened around him again, this time around his arms and shoulders, compressing him into a far more compact shape. His bulky muscles vanished, leaving him with far thinner, though still strong arms, and rounded, narrow shoulders.
"Zee. You CAN reverse this right?"
"I-It's complicated..."
Dammit, why did she have to screw this up? It was a simple spell to change his clothes! She used such basic magic to change her and Mikey's outfits all the time. She knew better than to cast a spell when her mind was all over the place! Why did he have to put the image of Catwoman in her head!
Zatanna watched as his excess muscle compacted into fat, spreading throughout his body and redistributing to his thighs, rear, and chest. His pectorals softened along with his jawline as the mounds arose and grew. A slit tore across his chest piece, the zipper undoing his outfit to reveal his new cleavage, the fabric condensing into one dark, skin tight bodysuit.
Tims thighs popped as they widened suddenly, snapping the bodysuit snug in that area. His legs got proportionally longer, and wider set due to his newly altered hips. He staggered as his calves changed as well, then his feet, his boots altering to feature a high heel.
"Complicated?! Can you reverse it or not?!"
Tim demanded, his voice cracking as his neck narrowed and his Adam's Apple vanished. He looked down and blushed, trying in vain to pull the zipper of his suit closed.
The zipper refused to budge and hide Tim's modesty as his chest continued to expand until the fleshy mounds sat at a firm DD-cup. Was the zipper just for show?
"I can, I can! It's just... changing you back... well, we need to wait at least 24 hours. Using magic this powerful on your body too soon might turn you into a puddle of red paste." She explained.
"For what it's worth... no one's going to suspect you're Red Robin..."
"Yay."
Tim muttered, then coughed, his voice changing still more until it matched the sultry tone of Selina Kyle. His face was next, lips widening, eyes becoming larger and becoming green in color. His hair became longer, retaining its black color but becoming shinier and more full looking, even as Catwoman's trademark cap and goggles appeared on his head.
"You can turn me back then. After twenty four hours. Plenty of time to take care of that artifact problem right?"
Tim said hopefully. He winced as his stomach cramped. This probably heralded the internal changes. This was definitely the part he had been dreading most.
"I mean, if you're still up for it..."
Zatanna felt bad forcing him into this predicament.
"I'm surprised you're still willing to help to be honest. Oh, and you might wanna hold your breath for a second..."
Tim's internal organs shifted slightly to make room for his growing womb and transformed reproductive system. His genitals began to burn fiercely, heating up as his enlarged thighs rubbed against his member teasingly. However, before he could have a chance to try and save the last shred of his old identity, it shot way back up inside of his pelvis.
Tim almost asked why he should hold his breath, but the sudden alteration to his nethers explained why a moment later. It felt like he had just been kicked in the groin, and he let out a pained cry, sinking to his knees.
Fortunately for him, the pain was short lived. He stood up a moment later, fully changed into an exact duplicate of Selina Kyle.
Face red, he looked himself over.
"Let's... get that artifact. And get this over with. I really want this to be over."
"You came out amazing..."
Zatanna took in Tim's new appearance. Her eyes ran up and down his new form. She managed to turn him into such a perfect replica of Catwoman without even thinking about it.
"Damn I'm good. Wasn't even trying..."
Tim reddened even more.
"Yes we're all very impressed with your magical skills. Can we please deal with that artifact? I am not exactly comfortable with this! Come on- either you teleport us or I'm going to start... huh."
Tim fell quiet as he realized that he no longer had his grapple gun, or any of the gadgets he was used to having handy. Even just staying upright on his new heels was taking some effort.
"...Let's just go." he repeated
"Okay, okay!"
Zatanna cleared her throat.
"Ekat su ot eht muesum!"
She chanted with a wave of her wand, a portal manifesting before her.
"Shall we?"
Tim tried one more time to pull up the zipper on the suit without success, then sighed.
"Alright, let's go steal an artifact."
Tim stepped through, emerging on the museum roof. Tim actually had a decent idea of how to get inside. Just... There would have to be some changes to the plan due to recent events.
"I won't be of much use inside. The energy field from the amulet is distorting my magic."
Zee explained.
"Here," she waved her wand again, this time conjuring a cat themed communicator on Tim's thigh adjacent to the whip.
"Use that to let me know when you have it and I'll open a portal from my backstage."
Zatanna stood on the other side of the portal where Tim had just exited to the roof from.
"Alright. Museum has break sensors on all the windows, air vents will be rigged as well. But I can get around that."
Walking over to the nearest skylight he bent down to examine the frame. And nearly fell over sideways.
_"Damn heels," _he muttered.
A little work with the claws built into his gloves on the frame if the skylight and he was able to hinge the entire three foot square upwards, one side staying in place. And more importantly, the sensor wire staying unbroken. Pretty easy. Not exactly s subtle entrance but right now speed was more important than not leaving any evidence
Down below, the museum contained ancient Egyptian relics, Grecian sculptures, and Renaissance paintings, as well as displays dedicated to indigenous cultures, contemporary art, and even an entire wing devoted to the history of Gotham City itself.
In one of the museum's quieter, more intimate galleries, a stunning pink artifact known as the Medallion of Tempora was housed. This enigmatic piece was said to have originated from a long-lost civilization that predates recorded history. The medallion was made of an unusual pink crystal material, which seemed to emit a faint, ethereal glow. Its surface was intricately carved with what appear to be celestial symbols and patterns. The closer Tim got to the artifact, the brighter it glowed.
Tim had lowered himself from the skylight using a thin climbing cable and was now trying to walk through the galleries as quietly as possible. Not easy when wearing heels. The click of each step was quiet but seemed loud in the otherwise silent museum. It was so quiet Tim could hear the leather material of his suit creak, which was distracting. It made him feel as if someone was walking up behind him.
The Medallion was in a locked case of course. But that wouldn't be hard to solve. Tim wasn't as skilled at lock picking as the real Selina but this wouldn't take long. He disabled the alarms using a small magnet to trick it into thinking the glass cover was still in place, and then opened the case and pulled out the Medallion.
There. Not so bad, Tim thought. Time to get this to Zatanna before anything happened.
The medallion glowed brighter and brighter as Tim got closer. The pink hue illuminated the otherwise dark corridor, becoming even more alight once he put hands on it. The chaotic magic began to course through Tim's veins, though he only felt a small tingling sensation in his fingertips. In seconds, the tingling had spread up to his biceps. Brighter and brighter, the medallion emanated the ancient power of Tempora. He could feel the heat from the trinket beginning to singe through his latex cat gloves but he couldn't put it down!
Tim tried very hard to put the thing down. And failed. That wasn't good. More magic stuff was happening and he'd already reached his limit for the evening. With his free hand he reached for the communicator even as his gloves sizzled and the glow grew to ominous levels.
_"Zee, I have the thing, and it's doing something," _Tim urged.
"Get me out of here before it finishes with whatever is going on!"
Zatanna heard Catwoman's voice through the communicator but it was all broken up.
"T-im? Wh-a-t-ZZZT!"
The magician tried to reach him but her voice came out distorted and was enveloped in static.
The Medallion of Tempora's glow began to shine all over Tim's body. The tingling spreading everywhere now and doubling in intensity. Whispered words from many different voices echoed. The light grew brighter and brighter until in one brilliant white flash, there was nothing.
When Tim reopened his eyes... he wasn't in Gotham anymore. At least not his Gotham.
He was in an alley from what he could tell. Just not the same kind of alley that he was familiar with. This alley seemed newer, and though there was garbage on the ground the concrete was not as worn as it should have been. Horns honked nearby. It was suddenly daylight too.
"I really hate magic."
He huffed, still with Selina's breathy tone. Furrowing his brows, he caught his reflection on a nearby mirror.
What did he see?
