The legends exchange glancing blows, both strong enough to destroy most enemies. As far as damage is concerned, Zapdos is the clear winner of the trade, reducing Suicune to a third of its health while only losing a quarter of its own. However, Suicune's ice beam tore a hole through one of Zapdos' wings forcing the thunderbird to plummet into the pool.

The bird screeches as its charge flows into the salt water. It panics and flaps its wings hoping to fly away. Its throes only make things worse; the scattered droplets create paths for the electricity to arc across

"Return!" You call, trying to save the bird, but only its lightning reaches the ball. It takes over a minute for Zapdos' charge to disperse, but once the storm passes, Zapdos is defeated and Suicune yet remains.

You have only the time to fish the legend out of the water before the match resumes. You reach for your next pokemon and notice something terrifying. When you called Zapdos to return, the electricity fried the opening mechanism all your balls.

Misty knows where you stand, "Well, I didn't expect this to go like that exactly, but if you can't bring out any more pokemon, it's my win."

There's still something you can do. You hurl a ball at Suicune, surprising both it and Misty. The ball hits Suicune right in the face and it explodes.

Even from inside its pokeball, Voltorb's self-destruct deals massive damage. You rush into the smoke. Suicune may still have some sliver of health, so while you have the chance, you'll personally finish this.
