Zack Zero stood on the Metropolis Bridge in the middle of the night, lamenting his pathetic life. At 22, his parents had died in a car accident a few months earlier. He had dropped out of college to work as a low-wage relic delivery man, and to top it all off, he had just been fired.

The reason? A comment he let slip in front of his sexy boss. She took it as an insult and fired him before he could defend himself.

Of course, being a guy with a face full of acne, cracked glasses, and ugly braces adorning his teeth, it's no wonder he was so rudely rejected.

"Damn, what am I going to do now?" he muttered, looking up at the stars.

He felt a severe headache; everything was spinning like a top, and his legs were losing strength.

"Oh God, what I needed was a cold."

Zack tried to go home, but he didn't even take two steps before he lost his balance and fell off the bridge to his ****.

It was his end! He closed his eyes and watched his entire life pass before him, coming to the conclusion that he had never achieved anything important or meaningful in his life and would die without having accomplished anything significant.

Then he felt someone holding him tightly. His eyes were still closed in fear, but he slowly opened them to see who was saving him.
