Your story begins...

"Seriously - you and Milo should come to Crete in October. I spoke to your dad yesterday and we agreed to split the flights fifty-fifty. You can stay at my luxury resort, the Adonis - and I won't charge you a single dollar, or, uh, euro! Your dad will be glad to have the house to himself for two weeks, for sure. Besides, I haven't seen you since you started college. How about it, Marcus?"

You hesitated at first, but it wasn't long before your brother Milo talked you into accepting uncle Sebastian's offer. A free trip to a sunny Greek island wasn't what you had in mind for Fall break, but the thought of sun, sea and sand did appeal to you.

"Besides, you might finally meet a special someone. It's like I told Milo when he started college - this is before he dropped out, obviously - you gotta get your head out of the books, go outside and meet actual people once in a while. What's the point of going to college if you're not out partying every other night?"

And that's how you find yourself following Milo through the main gate of the Adonis Resort and Spa on this balmy autumn evening, accompanied by the chirping of cicadas and the sound of hotel guests talking and laughing together.
