Your rescue

"How did you come across me, let alone get that boulder off my leg?"

"I was out gathering herbs, and heard your voice. Lucky for you, these are quite sensitive", She smirks, rubbing the tip of an ear between her fingers. "As for how I got that rock off of you, that was a bit of magic. The same kind that's holding your leg together." She points at a few talismans clinging to your your ankle "I wouldn't put too much stress on it though. The bones have only begun to mend"

"So you're some kind of magician then? Is that how you make a living"

"I'm an apothecary, actually. Kitsune are inherently magical, so I do have some magical ability." Kasumi holds out a finger, and a small blue flame begins to dance around its tip, "Flames like this are something all kitsune possess. The talismans on your leg are something I had to practice."

"Thanks for that, by the way" you say, "Is there any way I can repay you for all of this?"

Kasumi gazes upward thoughtfully for a moment "I could ask you to help me replenish the magic I used helping you, but I don't think you're ready for that yet. There's no need to repay me anyway. I'm always happy to help someone in need, and it's nice to have some company anyway. If you really want to help out, you could help me around the house, or the shop once you've recovered a bit more."

"How could I help you replenish your magic?" You inquire, "I'm sure I can help"

"Trade secret" she titters, and winks at you "Maybe I'll tell you later." She slowly stands up "Is there anything else you need? If not, I've got to open up the shop. If you need me, the storefront is right though there" she points at a door behind you.

"Nothing really" you reply, rising tentatively to your feet "I think I'm good for now. Not a ton to do back here, and it's a little lonely though, do you have any books or anything I can keep myself occupied with?"

"I think I have something around here, let me take a look" She picks up the dishes from the table, dropping them in a washing basin, then walks over to a low shelf, and bends over, her robes pulling taut against her plump ass, giving you a nice view. She returns with a small stack of books "These should keep you occupied. I've got a few novels here, as well as some reference books regarding magic and herblore, if you're serious about helping me" She walks over to the door to the shop "If that's all, I'll be going now"

Kasumi goes through the door, leaving you alone the living area. You look at the books laid in front of you. Exactly as Kasumi had said, there were a few novels, and herblore reference, and a book on Kitsune magic. Before you settle down, you test your broken leg. It seems to hold well, but you feel a twinge of pain when your full weight is on it. You think you could do some mild activity without much trouble. You glance at the dishes Kasumi set aside, and realize they they're completely unwahsed.
