Your name is John, and your wife is missing...

It had been days since you heard from your beautiful wife Samantha. You had asked around everywhere. Even the police wouldn't entertain you.

"I didn't see her very long ago. She seemed happy and healthy to me. I'm sure you'll hear from her soon." The principal of the school said to you when you visited today. Mr Howard was his name you thought. The tone of his voice and how unfazed he was kept replaying in your head. It seemed odd and made you uneasy about the situation.

Pulling into the driveway, you realised you had been getting takeout the past few days. It made your stomach feel heavy and bloated, but you couldn't stomach going and cooking in the kitchen. Where you and Samantha would spend so much time together cooking and being with each other.

Minutes on the couch staring at the ceiling became an hour, thinking, reminiscing about your wife. How amazing she was. How beautiful she was. How lucky you were, such an average person, to have someone so amazing as your life partner. Your wife.

Your thoughts were interrupted by a call. You had your phone on your chest, in case the police called back regarding Samantha. You picked up to an unfamiliar youthful voice.

"Hey is this John?" The voice on the phone said, although you could hear some giggles and some other noises in the background which you couldn't make out.

"Yeah it is. Listen if this is a prank call I'm not in the mood for it. So pl-"

"Nah it's not. You're gonna want to turn your TV onto HDMI 2 for this." The voice said on the other line. This time it definitely sounded like someone might have been moaning in the background? You couldn't make it out before he hung up.

You put the phone down and think. This could just be a silly prank. But what harm could it do just turning the TV on?
