Your lineage

"Just who are you?" Her voice echoes in your head.

"Excuse me?" You ask aloud. Harmony gives you a disproving look. You repeat yourself through the psychic link this time.

"Your lineage, I'm completely unfamiliar with you yet you clearly must come from one of the great houses to have a magical score of your caliber. My Great-grandfather Hariman Ashcroft was the last known person on record to have scored a 106, and you beat him by two points. So just who are you?"

"I'm not from any noble house, I grew up in a small two bedroom home with my mum and dog up north." You explain. " I can't even afford the tuition at this place, I'm here on a full scholarship."

An annoyed look comes across her normally composed face. "You bore me." She states aloud as she breaks the link and excuses herself from the classroom.

You sigh as you contemplate how poorly your first real interaction with a girl at this school has gone. You awkwardly sit alone as the rest of the class continues with the lesson. Harmony never returns to class and your dismissed with an incomplete grade from the professor.
