Your grandma finds a mysterious amulet

Your grandma Betty was gardening outside while you helped her out, she was 75 after all and your mother sent you to stay with her for the summer so you could help her out with things that your grandfather did when he was still alive. Digging carefully with her trowel Betty heard a metallic clinking sound and unearthed a strange dirty amethyst amulet. Calling out to her grandson about her discovery “Look what I found Tony, it looks so pretty I can’t believe somebody wanted to part with it.”

After planting her flowers with assistance from her grandson Betty shuffled inside her condo and took the amulet to her kitchen sink gently washing off the dirt from the ornate necklace made out of an exotic crimson ore. While Tony prepared supper for them Betty shuffled to her room and positioned herself in front of the mirror with her interesting find. Attempting to try it on Betty found herself growing frustrated as she fumbled with the small clasp with her aching stiff arthritic hands and muttered out loud to herself

“I wish this pesky arthritis would just go away..”

Betty suddenly felt a tiny jolt from the glowing amulet as her hands and joints in general began feeling a lot less stiff and her inflammation and pain went away. Easily clasping the latch with her now more nimble fingers Betty thought it was strange she didn’t ache all over but assumed that she was just having a good day and decided to settle into her recliner chair with pep in her step and put on her stories. Tony brought her some tea and she muttered that she wished it was coffee under her breath. Betty almost dropped her cup as it rapidly warped into a mug of hot coffee just like she likes to drink it. Trying to draw Tony’s attention to the change gesturing to her drink

“Holy cow, did you just see that? My tea just turned into coffee!”

Tony looked at her strangely “What are you talking about grandma? I just made that cup of coffee for you..”
