Your girls and mom carrying a cocoon

Your mom Daisy, Marinette, and Pixel were carrying in a large cocoon (Pixel helped levitate it) and were rushing it into the infirmary. You jump to your feet and run to help them.

“What happened? Where’s Starfire and Aelita?” You ask as you helped them get the green chrysalis on to a bed. The chrysalis was extremely familiar but you were denying the connection.

“This is Starfire, we were talking about the plate designs when she started getting weird changes. This is the end result,” Marinette replied while your mom started banging on the office doors. “Aelita is being brought up by some of the maids.”

“Delia! Joy! Aerith! Get out here, we need you,” Your mom shouted as she moved between the doors at the back of the infirmary. You hear some crashing and soon Aerith and Doctor Joy (the evolved form of Nurse Joy) came running out of the break room. They were quick to start using magic and technology respectively to scan the cocoon.

“What is happening?” Auntie Delia asked as she left the room where Kate was. She turned back to the room briefly. “Just wait a few more minutes and we will know.”

“Starfire started to cocoon in the south first floor parlor,” Your mom told her.

“Could she be going through puberty again?” Aerith asked as she finished her scans. “Other than the bootleg mods, I don’t see anything my magic says is wrong.”

“I am seeing a hormonal change since her last check up,” Doctor Joy replied while Delia brought over other equipment along with Mana potions for Aerith. “Delia, can you bring up the various docs about Starfires and Tamaraneans?” You barely notice Aelita come in and stand by your side.

“Here you go,” Delia gave her and Aerith tablets with the requested information. They look over the documents for a few minutes before you speak up.

“Do we know what's happening?” Aerith and Doctor Joy glanced at each other and whispered to each other. They nodded to each other before facing us.

“Well?” Your mom asked.

“We have bad news and good news,” Doctor Joy reported with a grim face.

“What’s the bad news?” You ask with dread in your stomach; you couldn’t lose Starfire so soon after finding her. You could feel Aelita and Ahsoka taking your hands in theirs.

“She will remain like this for a few days; we will not be able to break through this cocoon if we wanted to,” Aerith replied with a strange look on her face. “And we really don’t want to.”

“Why not?” Aelita thankfully asked.

“That goes into the good news,” Doctor Joy said as a smile spread across her lips. “Congratulations James, Daisy! This appears to be an extremely rare symptom Starfires might have to signal successful conception!”

“She’s pregnant?!” You joyfully shout as your mom hugged you, squeezing out all your air. Aelita and Marinette brought their hands together in front of themselves. Kailani cheered from her bed while Ahsoka gave you a thumbs up. Then you remembered the cocoon. “But why is she in the cocoon?”

“Sometimes when conception happens, Starfires go through a second Transformation. This changes their bodies to better handle motherhood.” Doctor Joy explained and showed a diagram on the tablet. “Just be patient and she will be up and about in no time.” You look at your girls and mom and decide on your next step…
