Your first mission as a Type 1

You get out of the car and stretch your muscles. You're in small town America, up in the remote wilds. This is Cameron's Peak, named after the local mountain. There's a chill wind in the air, and just getting out into the air sends a chill up your spine. Your first mission is going to require a lot of swapping. Which is just how you like it.

The brief is simple. Three days ago the town was taken over, though they'd never realize it. Through another agent's incompetence, a black and brown pen fell into the hands of a gang of criminals called the Coburn Gang: Trent and Josh Coburn, and their accomplice Irene Copper. They've since used the pens for a spree of bank robberies, and the trail leads directly to Cameron's Peak, where it stops. The Organization suspects they're lying low, enjoying their money in borrowed bodies for the time being, waiting for the Organization's chase to peter out.

It's not going to. They don't realize it, but they've painted themselves into a corner. Organization agents are currently acting as the local highway patrol, stopping anyone coming in and out of the town for a quick test with the white pen to make sure they are who they claim to be. They've got to be in the town, somewhere. Probably in someone with power - the mayor, or local sheriff, or one of the wealthy families that have holiday homes here.

It's your job to track them down and catch them, all without raising suspicion or attracting their attention. The Organization suspects they've probably split up, taking different lives, each unaware who the other actually is. You're also on strict instructions not to just shoot everyone and see what turns up. You're to investigate their possible lives by getting close to them, observing them and identifying them. They don't have any of their host's memories, so it should be fairly straightforward to spot people acting out of character. Once you spot one, you're to get them out of the skin with the white pen, zap them and contain them.

Your intel is sketchy, but there are a few key members of town whose identity they could have adopted. The only question is where to start. It's a Saturday, so the Mayor will be at home with his family - if he's really the mayor. The Sheriff is likely to be on duty at the station, although the only cop you can see is a deputy, a black woman with hair beaded and tied up in a knot behind her head, snoozing in her cruiser on the main road. As for the richer families, you'll have to find a way into their mansion. Maybe someone is down in the main town, looking for entertainment or having gone shopping? There's a local cinema, tavern, pizzeria and a small arcade of shops. You're sure there's someone there you can become.

You frown at the task ahead. It's going to be tough, but the first step is to find someone close to one of the possible candidates.
