Your boss.

"Virginia? What are you doing here?" you ask, caught off guard to see your boss standing in your door.

"I'm here to see why you haven't been answering my messages or calls," she replies shortly, striding into your house without being invited in.

"Well, come on in then, I guess," you remark, shaking your head and closing your door. You explain to her that you've been out of power until last night and that you must have forgotten to charge your phone. You apologize to her for that but ask why she would feel the need to come all the way to your house, especially after a storm like that. She was about to answer you but Melissa comes out of your kitchen, saying "Lunch is rea- hello. And you are?"

"Melissa, this is my boss, Virginia. Virginia, this is my neighbor, Melissa," you say, making polite introductions. But you don't think they heard you. The moment Melissa walked in, their eyes locked on to each other's and you can practically hear electricity crackle between them.

"Nice to meet you, Melissa," Virginia says, taking a step towards her. She sniffs at the air and narrows her eyes at her. "How...neighborly of you to make lunch for him. But he's a big boy, I'm sure he can feed himself."

Melissa doesn't back down and takes her own step forward. "I'm sure he can. But he'd probably stuff himself with junk instead of a proper meal, made with love. And since I don't see anything in your hands, I take it that you were going to bring him to eat something that you didn't make."

The two of them are standing nose-to-nose with each other, and you feel a few things click into place. One, this is the first time your thralls have met each other. Two, they both know they belong to you and that they both came here to satisfy you, so they don't have to keep up any sort of lie. And three, they're sizing each other up, trying to see which one of them deserves to be your favorite. You stand there awkwardly, watching these two women stare each other down, until somebody makes the first move.
